Where to find body parts for a restoration?
Does anyone know where I could find a set of rear fenders for a 1948 Dodge 1/2 ton pilot cab truck with a short bed?
I'd really prefer original equipment, if I can't get original then is there anyplace than can replicate them? As for a place that can replicate them, replications out of steel would be best, then any other type of metal, then last, fibreglass.
the only place i even know of right now that is selling any thing to do with to real old doges is jc Whitney ,they have listed some of the older parts for the dodges on their web site,right now i wish i could help more,but doge didn't release the patent on a lot of their older stuff,and no one wanted to bother with making patch panels for them,those parts are real hard to come by right now,but jc Whitney will be your best bet to find anything for that truck in original,and it wont be by doge it will be after market at best,good luck,i think this is their site, http://www.jcwhitney.com
