Toilet tank ball cokc continuously flowing?
I'm hoping that someone with plumbing knowledge can help me. With the float ball level (at the proper fill line), the water stops flowing vigourously into the tank but the ball cokc still trickles water into the tank. I've tried raising the float ball manually and the ball cokc still trickles water. Because the water is flowing, the bowl refill tube takes water which then trickles into the bowl. Very frustrating. Is there a way to adjust the ball cokc or should I just replace the entire thing? OR is it better just to replace the entire workings? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
Sometimes this happens to a perfectly good working toilet, sometimes the flush mechanism puts that seal flap down crooked across the hole at the bottom of the tank where the water dumps into the pot to flush the toilet and so it constantly sends a smaller stream into the pot continuously because it didn't close solidly, reach in and move the flap around at the bottom of the tank until it closes solid and see if it works OK after that.
