Should i attempt to change a coil spring myself on a strut?Advice or comments anyone?
I have never taken apart a strut before and my 2004 F150 has a broken coil spring on the strut.These are some heavy duty coil springs.
I am gonna go out and buy a spring compressor like this one--

Should i even attempt to change this spring myself,or is it just to dangerous using a compressor like the one pictured?Any tips or comments?
Check with your local parts store, they rent ( sometimes free if you pay a deposit ) these type of tools.
It is not a big deal if you have the right tool and use it wisely.
