Socket set/Tool set for under $100?
I'm a high school student in search of a good socket set for working on cars.
I'm looking to get something that will last a long time with a $100 budget.
Requirements :
Good Quality.
Metal case if possible.
Under $100.
your either going to be very limited on the amount of tools you get or the quality will be very low.
cheap tools destroy hands and make for costly repairs as fasteners get damaged from cheap tools.

you can save money and get more if you either go metric or standard.
i would forgo the metal box for later.
oh, and as you might guess, there will always be that one special tool you need that never comes in a set. which in this case would be 4" 1/2 drive extension for head bolts and a 6" extension for the 3/8 & 1/4 drive set. also a 3/8 and 1/4 drive universal/swivel. 4" and 6" adjustables. feeler gauge set. both sizes of spark plug sockets.
later,
some pliers and/or slip jaws. gear puller for crank ballancers/pullys and steering wheels. multi meter.
aside from screw drivers, thats the minimum i would want my students to have....... but all you asked for was sockets, so.....
