Snap Rear
Snap Rear

I have a John Deere Rx73 and my rear wheels are either froze on or there's a trick to it?
I took the snap rings off and figured the wheels should come off. I sprayed them with wd 40 and beat them for an hour an not even a millimeter. I'm assuming they are froze on or maybe I'm just missing something. Any ideas???
Why are you taking the wheels off. Trying to change tires, or am I misunderstanding the question. Maybe you're saying the transmission is locked up. I understand that you have been trying to take the wheels off so i'll help you out before you break something. The wheels probably have a key in them to keep them locked into the transaxle. Give them a shot of something stronger than 40. Check for anything like set screws in the wheels and then try tapping it off. I would only use heat as a last resort. They can be real tough after sitting on there for a few years but be real carefull cause you don't wanna screw up that transaxle. It can be expensive.
