A Few Simple & Delicious Toaster Oven Recipes
The simple electric toaster has the capacity for baking toasts only. When it is combined with oven functions, the toaster oven is capable of baking, broiling and toasting. This indeispensible kitchen appliance is really very versatile. It will save lot of energy and space in your kitchen. You can cook chicken pieces of small size in these toaster ovens if desired. It is however difficult to determine what should constitute to be simple recipe for the oven. However the ones mentioned below are truly simple and without doubt will be the favorite for all ages in the family.
Stuffed Franks
4 knockwurst or lg. hot dogs
Mustard-Cheddar stuffing (recipe follows)
Reuben stuffing (recipe follows)
4 hot dog buns
Split each knockwurst lengthwise almost through to bottom. Place slit side down on oven pan of toaster oven with drip tray. Broil on low position for 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.Turn slit side up and stuff slits with some of Cheddar or Reuben stuffing. Broil in toaster oven, until knockwurst are done and cheese is bubbly. Makes 4 servings.
Apple Crisp
2 apples
1 tbsp. flour
1 heaping tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash of salt
2-4 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. butter, cut in sm. pieces
Peel and core apples, then slice them directly onto toaster oven baking tray or cookie sheet. In small bowl, blend flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Scatter flour mixture over apples. Sprinkle water over all ingredients (use more water than called for if apples are not very juicy). Space out pieces of butter over top. Place tray in the oven and set at 375 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes. Yield: 2 servings.

Rotisserie chicken recipe -?
When I was younger Albertsons used to have a rotisserie in store with a redish / orange chicken on it -- looked like it had specks of pepper / spice on it . It wasn't BBQ chicken (as i have seen) but was a little dry (which I want) . Hopefully someone can direct me either to a recipe or WHAT I am looking for -- I guess a rotisserie / dry / chicken / reddish-orange with black specks on it
Garlic-Lemon Rotisserie Chicken With Moroccan Spices:
2ΒΌ hours 10 min prep
2 servings
1 (3.5-4 lb) chickens
1 head garlic, cut in half
1 lemon, cut in half
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the rub
2 teaspoons sea salt
2 teaspoons sweet paprika
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1. Set up the grill for rotisserie cooking and preheat to high.
2. Remove any lumps of fat in chicken cavity; wash inside and out, and blot dry. Rub chicken all over with half the cut head of garlic, then with half the cut lemon.
3. Mix ingredients for rub together. Sprinkle some rub into chicken and place remaining garlic and lemon halves inside. Truss chicken, brush outside with oil, and rub with remaining spice mix. Thread chicken onto spit and secure with prongs.
4. Cook chicken until skin is crisp and a deep golden brown and meat is cooked through, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. When cooked, internal temperature in thigh will be 175 degrees. Transfer chicken to a platter, let rest for 5 minutes and untruss. Carve or cut in half, and serve.
5. Yield: 2 servings.
