How do you repair a bent piston rod?
Think of getting a car that's in good condition, but it has a bent piston rod...please advise
Aside from the Piston (connecting) rod, you'll have to check the crank shaft as well, along with the piston crown. This is an extremely violent occurrence and you probably have other damaged parts in that engine. I'd check ebay or ask a good mechanic for a replacement motor since the labor for a rebuild might be higher than getting a healthy replacement second hand.
