piston CIRCLIP ? for 06 yz125?
i just bought new cylinder jug for my 06 yz125 cost me $400 plus new topend $100 and i cought trouble putn in one of the CIRCLIPS i was wondering if they lose there flex and would go bad and destroy my brand spankn new cylinder n jug i just spent bunch money on it popd in once i finally got it but i was tryn mash it closed with needle nose plyers n read on net not to do that and also when i was setn the ring i made sure it was centerd or w/e and it still made a lil scratching nose is it cuz it fresh brandnew jug or i have ring out of wack ????? thanks
If you are in any way concerned with how the circlip is and the fact that you had to hit it in which could have compromised it then replace. Heaps of races have come to a fast end when a circlip fails. It can do a lot of damage. If you feel you cannot replace properly yourself then take the bike to a yamaha shop and ask them to replace it as it is a small job but very costly if it fails
