Will my dog die from eating 35 pieces of Coffee Candy?
We left to go to the store and we have 100% coffee, coffee candies on a table. When we came home the wrappers were on the floor. The candies were nowhere in sight. The brand of candy is "Coffee Rio". Please help! My dog is my companion, and I really do NOT want her to die! She is also purebred English Setter, 7 years old, if that helps any.
Oh goodness - if you haven't already, please, please rush her to the vet. Call first - so they know you're on your way, and they may advise you to induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide if it's been less than 2 hours (or you think it has) since she ingested the candy. That's an incredible amount of caffeine, and yes - it could threaten her life.
