How to clean rust powder from car paint?
Something was rubbing in one of the brakes. That's fixed, but now all down the side of the car there is rust powder (NOT brake dust, actual rust). I tried some mild household cleaner, but it did *nothing*. I've considered the high power sprayer at the do-it-yourself carwash, but we aren't having many days above freezing here (NW Ohio).
And it's a white car, so it looks *really* bad.
Rubbing compound should remove the rust look.
Be sure to wax the surface after using the compound because the compound will remove all the old wax.
