You can have them look like a single line, or they may become dotted lines or you can even be totally creative and use graphics like strings or ropes.

Watermark

Lastly, you can have a watermark added when you print notepads. A watermark is a faded or subdued image that spans the length of the pages for notepads. The image can be of a company’s logo, a mascot or even a departmental or family crest. These are usually printed lightly on the notepad so that messages can still be written unto it without clashing. Watermarks “fill-in” blank notepads making them more interesting to look at. The designer must make sure though that the watermark symbol should not be too vivid since it should only be used as a light background.
