How hard is it to fix a valve tapping noise on a 1995 Trooper?

1995 dual overhead cam 6 cylinder with 110,000 miles on it.
This Isuzu Trooper runs great (always has). It has started a valve tapping noise and since everything else on the car seems to have been made so it can easily be fixed, I was wondering if a valve job was also a fairly straight forward job?

you do not want a "valve" job unless you a willing to dish out some bucks. the tapping is a valve adjustment job. a valve job requires pulling the heads off and is basically a complete rebuild of the top half of the motor. to adjust the valves you simply take off the valve covers and the adjustment screws are right there.
