Price to change rear suspension back to conventional setup from air-ride in 86 Dodge Aries?
My Ma bought a used 86 Dodge Aries that was tricked out in the back with an air-ride suspension that doesn't work. It has a tire style air valve sticking up from the middle of the rear bumper to add or remove air to adjust the ride characteristic but it leaks air from someplace and so the rear end is really flat and can sometimes thud over bad sections of roads. If she had it changed back to whatever the car came with stock, how much would that be and what would be the replacement components? This is a Dodge Aries we're talking about here so I know its not going to have a whole lot of advanced stuff like MacPherson struts and double wishbones like certain other cars.
Well what about equivalent parts? I am not saying it has to be 100% OEM stock items, just comparable stuff to what it rolled out of the factory with.
if you could even find all the needed parts to do this with it would cost you around 400 bucks maybe more,im not sure what all they did to it to make it like it is,but parts for that car aren't easy to come by,you might find some on this sight for a stock suspension on one of those cars,i junked an 87 model down last year and sent it to the crusher, that's what has happened to a lot of those cars.good luck ,http://partstrain.com
