How do you deal with someone who openly hates you because of your race?
I work on a team with a person that has outwardly displayed aggression towards people of my race and sex. The mere stating of 'hello' to this person elicits a huge negative response from them. This doesn't happen in front of our manager, but they do go to HR to complain about various people alot. Fortunately, my job function doesn't allow me much contact with them, but there are moments where the hatred is displayed in my direction. Bear in mind, this is the only person I have had this issue with.
I recommeding recording conversations until you have definitive proof it is occuring then report it to your manager. It's slander without proof.
This is pretty common among some races ( i.e the well-known and publicized race card [ and you know which race you are] ) to gain some sort of advantage in life.. especially when no proof of it exists.
