Where may I purchase a quality assortment, of automotive grade lock washers?
I am leery of those labeled "Made in China". I'm afraid they might not be made of the appropriate grade steel. Ideally, I would like to purchase them online.
There is no such thing as an "automotive" grade lock washer, while nuts and bolts on cars can vary widely in their temper and strength I wouldn't worry too much about "lock" washers. If you REALLY want a high quality lock washer you can get stainless steel although you will pay for them. Check this site out: http://www.mcmaster.com/. Do a search for "washers" and I think you will find that they have just about everything under the sun and then some. The sell assortments, as well, of various materials and grades. "Spring-lock" washers are probably what you are looking for. That is what is commonly used on cars. ASME spec is the standard, they even sell military grade which is very high tolerance. You will find anything you may need there...
