Would a cooling system pressure test detect a head gasket issue?
i have a 1998 subaru that i bought new and have been driving since purchase. recently i had an issue where the car overheated - i added coolant, and brought it in for a pressure test. aside from needing a new radiator cap, they found nothing.
the other day i noticed a white smoke coming from under the hood - it smelled like antifreeze, unquestionably. it wasn't a heavy smoke, but was certainly burning coolant. there was no obvious leak under the hood.
the car drives fine, but i constantly smell burning antifreeze.
this leads me to believe that i have a more serious issue, either a cracked cylinder, cracked case, blown head gasket, etc. my question is, would the pressure test have found such an issue?
second question is what does it cost to replace a head gasket? my gut feel is that this spells the end of my subaru.

Were is the Ignition module on a 98,Tahoe located. Help?
I have a problem, the gas ran out and the truck costed in the drive, on empty. I filled it with five gallons of fuel and it does not stay running. It starts every time after it quits. I am going to change Ignition module and I need to know if it is ynder the distributar?
The man who had the tahoe replaced the fuel fiflter, fuel pum , I wiggled the ignition module and it runs fine. Thanks
Turn the key off, then on a few times. This will cycle the fuel pump (you can hear it run in the tank). This will help bleed the air out of the lines.
It sounds as if you have air bubbles (does the motor stumble when running?). I agree with Dodge Man
The motor ran fine prior to the empty issue, so it would have nothing to do with the ignition module (they don't fail when you run out of gas). No need to replace something that isn't broke.

Breast Augmentation: How to Use the Rice Bag Test
If you are considering breast augmentation you may be wondering about what breast implant size to choose. One of the most common methods to determine the appropriate implant size for your body is known as “The Rice Bag Test”.
This test provides a rough approximation of how you will look with various size implants. It is fun to try and experiment with various sizes while standing in front of a mirror to see what you could look like after breast augmentation.
Breast implant sizes are available in a range from 125cc to 1200cc, but the most common ranges are between 200cc and 500cc. In general, for each cup size you want add to your bust line use approximately 150cc to 200cc of rice. For example, if you are presently wearing an A cup bra and want to move up to a C cup, you would be going up two sizes. Increasing two sizes would require approximately 300cc to 400cc of rice in a zip lock baggie.
Keep in mind that this test is a very rough approximation. Every woman’s body is different. You should meet with a qualified plastic surgeon in order to get more specific sizing recommendations.
To use the rice bag test you will need: 1) Large zip-lock baggies, 2) A large bag of rice, 3) A set of measuring cups, 4) a bra in the size you want to be able to wear. Many doctors recommend using a sports bra for this test in order to emulate the compression of the implants once placed within your body.
To convert your standard measuring cups into cubic centimeters (cc’s), use the chart below:
1 cup = 236cc
¾ cup = 177cc
2/3 cup = 156cc
½ cup = 118cc
1/3 cup = 78cc
¼ cup = 59cc
1/8 cup = 30cc
Using the chart above, if you wanted to create a 300cc implant sizer, use 1 cup (236cc) plus 1/4 cup (59cc) of rice. The total (295cc) will give you a rough look at what you could look like with a 300cc implant.
The benefits of The Rice Bag Test are that it’s a cheap way to stand in front of a mirror with various implant sizes while trying on some of your favorite clothes. For some women, the test is a bit frustrating since the rice bags are square and bulge out of the bra. The square baggies will show through your clothing so you won’t be able to wear them out in public or for any length of time.
There are breast sizing systems available on the market today which solve this problem. Most of them are still made for standing in front of a mirror since they still ripple or bulge out of your bra.
One unique system has been developed which can help you make a breast implant size decision even while wearing form-fitting clothing. The benefits are that you can discretely wear them in public, trying out various implant sizes over an extended period of time.
If you’re going to make the investment in breast augmentation, wouldn’t it make sense to test-drive your new breast size to make sure you choose the right size the first time? The Rice Bag Test is a good way to start but, to make a fully informed decision, try a breast sizing system that you can try out in your normal daily activities. You might be surprised after a few weeks about your final breast implant size choice.

The Leak Testing of Refills
Pens and refills are necessities in our daily life and business. The refill leakage will affect the regular application, but contaminate our clothes as well. Then, how to guarantee a good leak-resistance performance? Labthink, as the excellent testing instrument and service provider, provides the relevant standards, methods and instruments as follows:
1. The Leakage Tester for Refills
According to relevant roller ball pen and refill standards, such as QB/T 1655-2006, the testing instrument is called redactor. Labthink MFY-01 Leak Tester is such to test the leak property under pressure reducing principle and has been widely applied.
2. Testing Methods and Procedure
A. Adjust the pressure reducing speed of MFY-01 Leak Tester to 10-12KPa/min.
B. Take the refills with half ink as the specimen.
C. Take off the pen cup, and insert the specimen with its head downward into the pen-stand, and place into the vacuum tank. Then, put on the lid of the vacuum tank.
D. Turn on the compressed air source, set the vacuum degree and vacuum maintaining time (10 minutes is a regulation). Take care of the different vacuum degree for different kinds of refills.
E. Start testing, when vacuum degree achieving the set value, MFY-01 Leak Tester will record the vacuum degree as programmed, and test whether the refill leaks or not.

my friends are PLAYING MODERN WARFARE 2 on 11-3-09?
I don't know how, but a couple of my friends got the full edition of call of duty modern warfare 2 before 11-10-09. i know it is not the beta because they have played far more than 3 maps and many gametypes like "special ops". (ps- there was a beta for game developers and testers but only 3 maps) does anybody know how they could have possibly gotten the game for the xbox 360? is there a hack?

Will my car pass a smog test if the door ajar light is constantly lit?
I have a 2003 Ford Expedition and even though the doors are all tightly closed the door ajar light is constantly lit while driving. I am due for a smog test...will this affect it passing?
Im able to turn off the dome lights with the switch on the dash...it just makes the dash lights turn off while driving. The problem is that the door ajar light stays lit despite all doors being tightly closed.
no it has nothing to do with how much engine exhuast is dispersed. its just a small door sensor flaw, thats all nothing more
