hello. i have a lot of red and brown spots on my face from acne and i wish to conceal it b/c i'm going out with my girls this week. i never used makeup before. what can i buy/use and what do i do? please help
Conceler works pretty well for acne, dark spots, and under eye circles. If you need help with puting it on ask a lady at a make up counter at macy's. They are very helpful and nice. I hope you have fun and that I was helpful.

What is the best way to weatherproof the plastic box for a motion sensor originally intended for indoor use?
The motion sensor in question is a cheap Quorum Passive Infrared Detector (RR-150/A-160/G4567) powered by a 9V DC battery that emits 5V for about 1 sec when activated. The trick is that I also want to solder leads to the battery contacts so that I can power it using a wall transformer. It comes in a plastic box that is totally unsealed; so far I have considered either using a glue gun to seal all seams and holes, or putting the whole thing inside another plastic (or plexiglass) box. For the moment I am most concerned about water leakage, but it is possible that temperature is an issue, too, I suppose. The sensor will be used in a temporary outdoor installation for six months this summer.
Get a tube of RTV. It's a kind of silicone caulk. Try hardware stores, auto parts stores, or maybe radio shack. Apply a smooth bead to every seam and to the hole where the wiring enters the box...and about 2 inches or so of the wiring. Don't force it in to deep or it may interfere with the sensor. It goes on sort of like caulk. After you apply a bead to the seams smooth it with a wet finger. The smoothing is mostly for cosmetic reasons but will also help make a good waterproof seal. Make certain when you mount it that it is several inches off the ground, to avoid water splashing up on to it, and as much out of the weather as possible.

How effective would a stun gun be in this situation?
I got jumped last night for a lot of cash and my phone. I had a Maglite and a knife handy but I didn't want to take my odds against the assailant who had a gun. My question is, if I had had a stun gun, would it have been an effective tool for disarming him? We were in a close quarters situation. Like, if I were to stun him, would he still be able to draw the gun, or would he just drop and could I take his gun from him?
Unless he was was holding the gun he wouldn't drop it. It depends on the voltage. I mean any stun gun will freak him out you just got reach for his gun before he gets to his senses. Thats why its called a stun gun.

With Singer Down-Flo electric heaters, does it matter if polarity of wire connect is reversed (not marked) ?

Originally installed in 1980, unit worked with automatic thermostat but in reinstalling to new location, I forgot which way black/white wires go. I reconnected but unit now constantly runs (with or without heat) . I wonder if polarity should be reversed to run correctly.
I am not an electrician. But it sounds like a disaster of some scale waiting to happen. Ask an expert.

Question about model kit decals.?
Working on building a model Jeep Kit (Daisy Dukes Jeep)
I tried to apply the decals to the kit and they basically crumbled to pieces as I tried to apply them.
I have built quite a few models in my day....but this is the first time I have ever seen decals crumble. The kit was stored in a garage for over a year. I am wondering if being stored in the harsh cold could have caused them to become brittle?? Any insight would be a big help..
That could effect them. Try some local hobby shops for a decal fixative spray. This will lay down a film that will hold them together. Spray it on the sheet of decals, light misty coats.The same shop may have a solution called Micro Sol. Apply this to model before and after laying them down. Also, decals like a glossy surface to lay down on. Hope that helps.

Can i switch bumpers and replace stock with the fog light version of my car?
I have a Pontiac Sunfire. its a 1996 without the fog lights.
Now there are like 98 sunfires that are the same body look wise, interior same pretty much the same as the 96.
Could i replace the front bumper with the ones from a 98, and wire the fog lights? seeing i need a fog light switch i could make that messing with the dashboard and have it configured just like the 98 sunfire with the fog lights. Doable? any opinions?

I bought laptop on-line in January 07 (in Singapore).?
I have 2 questions :
1- In its website it mentioned that memory is 512MB DDR2 SCRAM at 533.Mhz. After i bought it i checked it with CPU-Z and i found that RAM speed is only 266.0 MHz (RAM's capacity and type are correct). Indeed Invoice and 'saved cart' (to confirm order before placing firm order), do not mention about speed/freq, but at that time i was not aware. Neverthelles now i feel i was cheated, am i right ?
2- In website and invoice the OS is XP media center but when i checked it in direct X diagnostic tool, it shows XP profesional (5.1 build 2006). In the end, what is the real OS of my laptop ?
I dont understand much abt computer, so I think i need some advise before calling the customer service. It's affordable and popular brand, i think you can guess.

DDR stands for "double data rate" that means for every clock cycle, two lots of data get through. Now if you double the frequency of 266MHz you get an effective clock speed of????

I took my jeep grand into the shop to have the coolant system flushed - now my heater is blowing cool air? why
The heater starts blowing warm air then turns to cold.
What would cause this?
It is an 2001 jeep grand cher - v6.
It was just int he shop yesterday 12-1-07 and working fine, now not very well 12-2-07.
Probaby air bound, they failed to put in enough coolant.
Take it back for a recheck. NO CHARGE.....Mechanic error.
