Have a brass pipe attached to copper pipe prefer not to cut copper. the fitting wont budge tried hammering, penetratrion oil clr, pipe wrench and heat please help
If it is a threaded joint, heat the female part generally copper and use proper tool (spanners) not pipe wrench or monkey pliers.

Are snapon tools really the best?
My techs have many different boxes here in the shop. Snap on, Matco, Craftsman. When it comes down to the specialty tools, while Sears has a good selection, there are just some tools you can't get. Snap on, while expensive, does offer really good deals on most of their specialty tools. Matco is faster at getting the tools to the techs. So it really just depends on what kind of work you are doing and how much you want to spend. I have broken them all. Snap on, Matco, Craftsman’s, what not. Honestly I love the craftsman simply because if I break a tool. I can just run down to sears, have a new tool in my hand that day and get back at it. With the snap on and Matco. Unless I have the drivers cell phone number. I could be out that tool for 6 days. Even if I call them it is still 24 to 48 hours before they swing in.

There are many techniques and strategies on how you can profit from a garage sale. You may want to prepare in advance so that you will be able to do the preparation and prevent you from cramming when the day of your garage sale is nearing.
You may prepare 3 weeks before the day of the event and create a selling team if you would like to host a big garage sale. Here are some garage sales selling techniques that will help you in increasing your profits.
1. You need to know your targeted customers. Make sure that you sell different kinds of items. You may include your personal things and old appliances if you would like to dispose of them.

if the wheel bearing is bad what type of garage do I take it to; regualr shop or tire shop?
I was driving tonight when I heard a squealy sort of sound from the back left of the car, then that noise was replaced with a loud (inside of an airplane) noise. When I got it into the driveway and turned off the car, there was a burst of smoke from the back left tire. My neighbour said it might be ther "wheel"/"tire" bearing and not to drive it. My question is what kind of shop would I call, some place like Midas/Canadian Tire and have it towed there, or a tire repair shop and have them come to the house?
could be anumber of things, brakes binding on, wheel bearing collapsed, but either way if the tyre is still inflated i would get the services of a car mechanic rather than a tyre shop. good luck, hope it's not too expensive.

Ever been to a shopping centre and had a toddler screaming because they are completely bored.... Or how about squeezing into a changing room with two toddlers with sticky fingers wiping them on the beautiful silk dress that you haven't even tried on yet?? More and more shopping centres in the UK are offering crèche facilities for parents who would like a little light relief while running around the shops. The shopping centres themselves recognise that you're more likely to spend longer in the shops and hopefully make them more revenue if you know your children are safe and having fun close by.
If you are not sure what to look for in a crèche there are a number of guides which will help you decide. They should have had an ofsted report which will help you see officially the standard of the children's facilities. Don't forget you can always go along and have a thorough look around before you decide.
The ofsted inspection is designed to assure government, parents and the public of the quality of the childcare provided. They measure and make comment on a number of aspects of the crèche facilities including the location, the effectiveness of the provision of childcare, protection of children from harm or neglect, and helping them to stay safe. They also cover educational requirements, and measure the provision for helping children achieve well, and enjoy what they do and make a positive contribution.
They should have a main play area, many with state of the art stimulating environments with ball pools, soft play areas toys and games. Art and craft activities are usually on offer, which help to keep the children happy, and give them a reminder of the day they have had. You may even find some play stations, dance mats and DVD's in some of the larger centres.
If you are looking for a party venue then the shopping centre crèche could be a viable option. Some offer exclusive use of a particular children themed room, with decorative party thrones, party hats and invitations, place mats, serviettes, plates and cups for the party food.
While the children are having fun at the crèche, you can visit some of the department stores or shops within the shopping centre. Most centres have at least 2 department stores, and a number of select shops from the main high street shops such as Next, Boots and Monsoon, as well as some unique boutique shops.
Alternatively to help you keep an eye out on your kids whilst shopping, shopping centres may offer a range of free facilities buggies and parent and baby facilities including baby changing facilities which will you pre-dominantly find in the washroom facilities of restaurants.
So whatever you are looking for from wedding presents, or the children's birthday presents you can nip around the shopping centre, and get back to the car to stash the gifts while the children are safe and happily playing with friends.

My comp was 64-bit and I took it to the shop, they returned it, and now it says it's running 32-bit. What?
I don't even know what happened, and I don't know enough about bits and whatever to guess. Did they wipe my comp and install the wrong thing? Is it something that can't be changed, and I can just go into my computer and set it right?
They wiped your computer and installed the wrong thing, likely.
If you did not clarify that your operating system was 64-Bit, it would be easy for them to make that mistake.
They SHOULD know better, but things happen.
Just bring it back and let them know. Don't be mad, it was an honest mistake.
If they are a good company, they will bring it in and redo it for no charge right away. If they give you a hassle, then take it elsewhere.

3 Tips For Using a Car Hoist
It really goes without saying that the most important point in operating any type of automotive lifts, be it a 2 post lift, 4 post lift or other vehicle jacks, is safety. Yet, in many cases it is an area that we tend to overlook, until an accident occurs. Here's a quick look at some of the major safety tips in using a car hoist in your shop or garage.
It may surprise you to know that most hoist or lift accidents occur not due to the equipment failing, but to human error on the side of the operator. This is according to the governments Bureau of Labor Statistics. What are the most frequent mistakes that operators make? It's from trying to lift a vehicle well over the capacity of the auto lift, as well as people walking under a vehicle that has been lifted up. Unfortunately, accidents such as these are tragic, yet avoidable in most every case.
1. Always follow the hoist manufacturers instructions and recommendations. For example, never exceed the hoist lifting capacity. Sure, it is really common sense, but always stop to take an extra minute to consider how heavy your load is before using the equipment.
2. Inspect everything. Be sure to check out the car or truck hoist to see that it is in good working condition. Is the chain in good shape and is it long enough to hold onto the load your attempting to lift? If you are using a 2 post vehicle lift or one of the many other types of hydraulic lifts, make sure to check the maintenance records and that the equipment is being properly maintained and greased.
3. Be sure that every operator has been properly trained in how to operate any lift. Do they know about lift points and making sure the load is balanced before lifting it? How are there communication skills? An operator must communicate with everyone in the shop when lifting a load.
These are only a few of the many safety tips for anyone operating a car hoist. Your shop should have a good safety program in place and conduct regular safety training meetings in order to ensure that everyone in the garage is on the same page.

Am I wearing the right size?
Hi, I've heard recently that most woman don't wear the right bra size for them.
Cos I'm embarrased about asking to get it done in a shop, I'd like to know how to measure my bra size PROPERLY for myself.
At the moment my bras make me feel uncomfortable - which they shouldn't. They either push me up too far, or not enough & I spend the day trying to hoist them up.
Can someone please give me some advice

Measure around your ribcage, just under your breasts. This number is your band number. DO NOT add inches to this number. Then measure your breasts at the fullest part. Subtract the band number from your bust measurement. A difference of 1" = A, 2" = B, 3" = C, etc.

What is the best paint respirator for a body shop ?
My husband is in the body shop business. I would like to get him a new respirator for xmas. I am not sure of the best kind to buy. I do know he dont like the full face. If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks
I used to paint in a body shop at one time and I found the only way to go is with a fresh air mask, as others still allow those harsh chemicals to go through them and that is not good for you.
these days you should be able to find one that is not a full face model.
