changed air filter....is it difficult to change fuel filter?
Check the cheap stuff first.
You might have a clogged vent in your fuel cap. As the engine runs fuel flows from the tank to the carburetor. If the tank is not properly vented you will eventually wind up a partial vacuum in the tank which will stop fuel flow. Easiest way to check this is to unscrew the cap when the engine dies and see if you can start it up.
If that fails, possible candidates are a restricted fuel line and a faulty ignition coil as mentioned by previous posters.

What are some cute shoes I could buy at a good price?
My style is a mix of vintage, elegant, and classic preppy. I try to be as trendy as possible without going overboard. For example, if you've ever seen what they wear in Seventeen..but toned down a bit. Haha I hope that made sense.
I love the color pink, and earthy tones too. Browns, oranges, etc. but I still love wearing bright colors. I hate looking like everyone else.
So I've been trying to find a decent pair of shoes for ages. I've been to Payless, H&M, Macy's, and Sears, but I haven't found anything. I refuse to buy any shoes at AE, Hollister, or Abercrombie.
So where should I buy a cute pair of shoes that are unique, but not too funky-looking and expensive (over $40).
Thanks!
Well first, let me say thank you for not buying into the peer pressure fashion(Hollister/HotTopic)
I can tell you my favorite stores
Ralph Lauren(I am addicted)
Burberry(a little expensive)
But, to give you some good ideas, DON'T GO TO JUINORS the clothes are nothing but TRASH. They all look the same
Try going for the Young Adult stores, like maybe Gap or Bananna Republic, Old Navy.
Another tip, don't be fooled by the prices of designer clothes. Go to the designer part of Macy's(you should have one) and there are a LOT of trendy clothes, that are usually expensive and you can find cheaper.

Types Of Sediment Filters
Untitled Document
All sediment filters have one thing in common, filtration capability based on micron (µm) size. By definition, a micron is "a metric unit of length equal to one millionth of a meter" which is extremely small to the naked eye. The diameter of a human hair is roughly 25 microns. If a filter is rated to be 5 micron nominal then it means that 80% of pores on that filter are 5 micron and the rest could be larger. If a filter is rated to be 5 micron absolute then 99.9% of the pores are 5 micron and the rest could be larger. All sediment filters lower the water pressure of a given water source. Sediment filters require very little water pressure to operate – about 5 psi.
Spun "Melt blown" Sediment Filters
These types of filters are most economical and are most widely seen on the market. They are noticeable for their hard cotton-like appearance. Typically, these are made of 3-4 different layers and are usually made to have the largest micron on the outer most layers to the smallest micron on the inner most layers. The rating of the filter is based on the smallest micron and most inner layer of that filter. Spun sediment filters are ALWAYS made of polypropylene. Polypropylene is a type of thermoplastic that can be melted and bonded which is how the term "melt blown" came about.
Spun "melt blown" filters are typically described to look like a clean white paint roller. Although they are sometimes slightly pleated (circling the sediment filter). These types of imitated "pleated" filters increase the surface area for water to filter contact which ultimately decreases the amount of water pressure drop (which is good). You will never see rubber gaskets on a sediment filter. Rubber gaskets are used to help separate the product water and the source "feed" water and is seen on EVERY other filter except spun filters. Sediment filters are self sealing when properly used.
Their dirt holding capacity is considered to be better than pleated but worse than string wound filters. Their main purpose is to remove silt, oil, grease, and other forms of sand. It is very commonly used as a general filter to remove more than the above mentioned (i.e. dirt, particulate rust/iron, etc).
The micron rating of a spun filter is ALWAYS rated as nominal and NEVER absolute. You will never see a spun filter with an absolute micron rating because of the way it is made.
Spun filters are an all around average filter which can be used in almost any situation.
String Wound Sediment Filters
String wound filters have the appearance of a spool with yarn. They have a lot in common with spun "melt blown" sediment filters. They both have ONLY a nominal filtration and are ALWAYS made of polypropylene. Much like spun filters these also do not use rubber gaskets to seal the filter.
For dirt, silt and sand situations, it is always recommended to use a string wound sediment filter. These have the largest of the pressure drops as well as the largest of dirt holding capacity. It is very common for people with well water to use these types of filters due to the fact that they have large amounts of dirt/sand/silt in their well.
It is not recommended to use string wound filters for water with high amounts of oils and grease. Because oils attach to the surface of the filter, it will deliberately clog the filter. This will increase the pressure drop until it is completely clogged.
Pleated Sediment Filters
Pleated filters are recognized for their paper thin appearance. Their appearance resembles a well folded piece of paper that is in the shape of a circle. These types only have 1 layer of filtration. It can be made of several types of materials that include cellulose, polypropylene, and polyester – each with its own advantages and disadvantages. They require the use of rubber gaskets to seal properly.Pleated filters have the least amount of pressure drop due to the thickness and most of the time can be washed and reused several times before it is tossed away. The surface area of a pleated filter is much larger than any non-pleated filter.
Polyester pleated filters are used for removing suspended solids from water and are the most durable of the pleated filters because of their material. They are the most resistant to bacterial growth. Polyester filters are constructed of pleated non-woven polyester fabric that is bonded on the ends to thermoset plastisol or "end caps." Polyester is resistant to many chemicals and to bacterial damage, making them an excellent choice for removing suspended solids from non-chlorinated water supplies such as lake and well water.
Polypropylene pleated filters are the most economical filters. They have a higher dirt capacity than polyester filters. Polypropylene construction is excellent chemical compatibility. It is a very good general filter like polyester.
Cellulose pleated filters are also used for removing suspended solids from water. Pleated cellulose is bonded to the end caps of the thermoset plastisol. Cellulose pleated sediment filter are designed for use on chlorinated water supplies such as lakes & rivers.
Both absolute and nominal filters are available because of the way these are made. Absolute micron filters are priced higher than nominal filters because of the production cost. For general filtration, nominal microns are more economical than absolute. Absolute is used in more strenuous situations, for example in laboratories, where micron size plays a very important function.
The main purpose for these types of filters is to remove more solidified particulates like grit, sand, particulate rust and other larger sediment particles. Pleated filters have the least dirt holding capacity when compared to spun and string wound filters. Although they may be used for dirt filtration, they may not perform well for dirt holding capacity.
Pleated filters are recommended for homes that cannot afford the pressure drop but have the presence of sand, grit, or sediment particulates.

Two Cheap Volkswagen Upgrades (part 2)
Two More Inexpensive VW UpgradesIn the first part of this series, we talked about two inexpensive upgrades that improve performance. First, an upper stress bar to improve handling, and second, a cold air intake to improve horsepower and add some growl. In this part we’ll to cover some more ground in the world of suspension enhancements. After all, you want to get your VW GTI or Jetta out into some curves don't you? If so, you’ll need some quality products to keep you on the road.
One of the two greatest concerns, when it comes to ripping the road, is suspension stiffness. Usually when suspension stiffness is modified, you also tend to modify your center of gravity, otherwise deemed 'Ride Height'. For about $225.00, a fellow dubber can obtain a set of fine quality H&R Springs. Options include the H&R Sport Springs, which tend to be stiffer than stock, but not absurdly so. The H&R Race Springs, very stiff, and not very comfortable for everyday ride. If you have a Golf or Jetta, then H&R's Sport Springs are going to make night and day difference alone. If you have a GTI, you already know that the ride can be a bit rough, and going to a set of Race Springs is going to make it a bit worse. A rude awakening for most. For a GTI owner, a set of Sport Springs should do the trick.
Let's quickly review what's entailed in a spring replacement. First, you'll need a set of Craftsman Strut Spring Compressor Tool with Built-In Safety Pins from Sears. They run about $50.00. Now if you're trying to be scrappy, you can always take these back when done. Just clean them up with a little WD-40 when you're finished.
The back is going to be harder than the front in a way, as you're probably going to have to tear apart some interior. No worries though, it all snaps together/apart. Loosen your lug nuts on the first set of wheels while the car is on the ground. Pop the hood and loosen the strut tower nuts. Place a block or two behind the tires that will remain on the ground. (just in case) Jack one end of the car up one side at a time and place your jack stands under the front cross-member. (this has always worked for me) Pull off the first wheel, and remove bolts according to the Bentley Manual for your Golf or Jetta. Shimmy that strut out of there as a whole unit.
Once the strut is on the ground, go ahead and use the Strut Spring Compressor Tool to get the spring compressed. Be sure to keep the sides as even as possible! Once you feel you've gotten the spring compressed, unscrew the nut at the top of the strut tower. Everything should come apart relatively easily. Slide your existing spring off, and slide the new lower and stiffer springs on. You may not even need to compress the new springs when putting everything back together. When done, slide the entire strut back into place, and follow the above steps in reverse order. Voila! One down, three more to go!
The second largest concern in tearing through turns is, making sure the car doesn't sway in corners. Flailing, swaying, body-roll, etc. can all lead to disaster when cornering hard. The objective is to keep the car from shifting as much as possible when turning. There's a great deal of expensive hardware in existence to help this out, but let's stay focused on the cheap, but effective items. The cheap solution? An Eibach Sway Bar & Anti-Roll Kit! Price? Ballpark cost is around $350.00, shipped. The heavier gauge steel used in these sway bars is significant improvement over the stock sway bars. Yes, you have existing sway bars, but they're weak. Thus, the recommended upgrade.
Let's quickly review the install process for your Eibach Sway Bar & Anti-Roll Kit. Pick the front or back of the car to start. Place a block or two behind the tires that will remain on the ground. (just in case) Jack one end of the car up one side at a time and place your jack stands under the front cross-member. (this has always worked for me) Get some light under the car and look for the stock sway bar. Locate the nuts/bolts that hold it in place, and begin to loosen them. You may need an allen wrench and a box wrench in order to remove the existing sway bar. You'll understand this when you see it. Once bolts are removed, go ahead and finagle the bar out from underneath the car. Repeat these steps in reverse in order to get the new sway bar in place. Drop some grease on those bushings. Rinse, lather, repeat for other end of car. Thanks Eibach!
For the average Joe, the two of these upgrades combined provide substantial improvement over the stock equipment. Combine them with the two items in Part I of this series, and you should find your car riding on rails like you were at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

what brands of tools do mechanics in china and japan and similar places use?
in america we have craftsman, snap-on and the like. if you buy cheap tools made in china or japan they're low quality and depending on what you buy you get little use out of it before it breaks. cheap hand tools like wrenches and ratchets are okay but they still don't hold up compared to more expensive brands.
my question is what what do mechanics in china and japan and similar places use? they can't be using the same cheap tools that they export to us.
Yeah, I live in Japan and see the Snap-on truck cruising around once in a while. I'm sure they use some other brand too, but I've never taken a close look.

So does all that balance the scales?
Does the good the US has done and provided outweigh all the bad people like to throw around?

What has Syria?
Where is the 250 + years of innovation, invention and goody two shoes from those nations?

Technical Real Estate Marketing Tipps
It is no secret that the Internet is one of the top places to market real estate but even in this lucrative medium you have to know what you’re doing if you want to spend your money wisely. This article explores products and services that offer the best value for your money. If you are willing to do a little legwork you can dramatically reduce your marketing costs while increasing the impact of your marketing money. If you are unfamiliar with the Internet or need some help with the basics of using a computer then hire a smart teenager to help you with the technical part and you can worry about the Real Estate Sales.
Rule #1: Always Pay for Customers not “Impressions”
If you do not have a degree in Computer Science you may not know the difference. One of the earliest and least effective ways to buy online advertising was through impressions. A web site owner would sell an ad on their site and then charge the advertiser for each person that saw the advertisement. This was the predominant way to sell advertising before the dot com crash of 2000. This is the same model that had been used by magazine publishers for decades. As an advertiser you are buying an ad but on the internet you can buy a customer. The problem with buying impressions is that you have no idea how many people actually end up on your site. Worse, studies have found that ads in some areas of the site produce almost no customers because no one clicks in those areas.
There is a much better way to buy advertising. Pay for the number of visitors that the advertiser sends to your site. If you are paying $0.10 for an impression then 1000 impression will cost you $100 dollars. That sounds like a pretty good deal. Unfortunately some advertising (such as banner ads) has a very low click through rate – less than 1%. The advertiser has no incentive to actually bring the potential customer to your web site. The advertiser displayed your ad so (as far as they are concerned) their job is done. If you received 10 visitors for your $100 dollars then you paid $10 dollars per potential customer. As an alternative pay for users not impressions. If you are paying $2.00 per user session then you can be guaranteed that the potential customer found your site. You could buy 50 potential customers for your same $100. A thousand impressions for $0.10 is worth far less than fifty impressions at $2.00 per user. For more detailed information please take a look at Real Estate Marketing Sage.
Rule #2: Get in Front of Customers Before Your Competition Does
One of my favorite ways to gain a competitive edge in real estate is through Google Adwords. Adwords are those small text advertisements that appear along the right side of Google pages. Adwords need to be understood in order to be used effectively which is why many real estate agents avoid using them. They can take a little while to perfect but the impact on your business will be dramatic. The advertiser bids on specific terms by bidding how much they are willing to pay for a “clicks”. For instance an advertiser might say that they are willing to pay $1.00 for an internet visitor that typed the word “Maplewood Real Estate” into the Google Search Engine. They could buy 10 of these visits from Google each day for $10. These are some of the most qualified customers that you can find. Your paying more to contact a smaller number of web users but this is offset because the web users have a very high probability of becoming customers.
The most effective way to bid for these terms is to bid for terms that are very specific to what you are selling. If you are selling a home in Seattle the term “Seattle Real Estate” may not be the best term to advertise under. Why? It is too broad and probably too expensive at $3.32 per click. It is more effective to bid a large number of specific terms. It might be better to bid $0.50 per click for a variety of very specific terms. “Seattle Craftsman Home,” “Seattle Home with Hottub,” “Maplewood 2 bedroom,” “University of Washington Home.” Brainstorm and be sure to find as many targeted terms as possible.
Rule #3: Spend Money To Make Money
Realitors need a wide variety of tools including newsletters, virtual tours, flyers, broadcast email, and web commercials. Buying each of these tools individually can get very expensive. Fortunately you can buy a package that includes all of these services at one low price. Imprev is one of the best companies in this area. Imprev offers an impressive array of services at one very low monthly price.
I am in love with templatemonster.com. This site offers beautiful templates for a very low price. Most web designers are not going to build a site that looks as great as these templates. Pay your web designer to modify these templates as opposed to making a complete site. Your site will look more professional and you’ll pay a lot less.
Rule #4: Look At Your Web Metrics
Wouldn’t you like to know how many people are looking at your advertising? What they are thinking. What they are doing (buying) or not doing when they see your advertising. Your web logs are the second best thing to a crystal ball. I cannot tell you how many people look at their web logs and immediately know what went wrong or right with their site. The best part is that most likely you already have this installed and just need to know how to access the information. So ask your web master.
Rule #5: Hire REAL SEO not Junk SEO – Learn how much a keyword is worth.
SEO companies have sprung up by the dozen and the vast majority of them are built on a common misconception. It is relatively easy to get a great position on a term that no one looks for. For example say you want to find users in Seattle Real Estate. You go to an SEO company that offers to get you a great position for the term “Wonderful Seattle Real Estate”. So who looks for “Wonderful Seattle Real Estate” in the Google engine? No one. All of the web searchers are looking for “Seattle Real Estate” not “Wonderful Seattle Real Estate.” Companies are not competing for the term “Wonderful Seattle Real Estate” they want “Seattle Real Estate.” You can find the exact value of the term based on a very simple formula. Find the bid value for the term in Google and then multiply it by the number of Overture users. By this logic the term “Wonderful Seattle Real Estate” is worth less than one user a month.

Just explain to people its a force of Habit you learned somewhere like the military or high school so they will not be offended your locking your stuff up.
Get the expensive snap on deep well sockets
and the cheap craftsman shallow well
The craftsman deep well sockets are constantly splitting on me.
Most of the new stuff is all metric. but I work on the old stuff so the metric stuff takes a back seat.
12 points basically suck they strip more bolt heads than the six.
Make sure you get a good set of torx screw drivers and sockets the smaller sizes at least.
you know the star shaped stuff torx or torqs however its spelled.
Get a good universal joint 3/8 you wouldn't believe how valuable these are to have and all different assortments of extensions and screw drivers of every different size.
You've got a good starter set just keep adding to it and you'll be set. You may want to get a cheap set of air tools to start with. at least an air ratchet. ant oil them before every use. A shot of WD 40 get a big ol can with a fold down straw. in the air inlet. I love the fold down straw I allways used to loose the damn straw.

Which brand is better Gearwrench or SK?
Grearwrench or SK hand tools?
If you buy from Sears then gearwrench is by far superior as they are guaranteed for life under the Craftsman name. I have many Craftsman tools , if I was a full time mechanic I would have all Craftsman tools. The other brands are good tools also but carry less warranty and much higher prices.

Is there one US political party that would rather have millions of illegal immigrants than 100,000 legal ones?
If there weren't ten of millions of ILLEGAL immigrants, we could support thousands more LEGAL immigrants, professionals or craftsmen with training in jobs that would help our economy.
Is there a preference of one type immigrant over another by a US political party?
doncrisp....you don't make sense. BTW your archaic stereotypes are decades old. Most millionaires are Dem and they don't pay their taxes, especially in Congress. Google it.
illegals are worth more to Democrats for their potential votes.
Democrats crave illegals for the Power they represent.
