Circuitry 12 volt 8 AAA batteries LED indicater?
So I was wondering, using some leds, transistors, resistors, etc how can I make a power level that will detect the level of the batteries(8 AAA=12V DC) using leds and some other parts? Is there a way to do this without using programmed chips and all?
like for example when there is 12v all leds will light, but when it = 4v 4 out of 8 leds will light instead and etc...

The LM3914 bar/dot display driver chip was made for this job. You'll need the chip, a couple of resistors, and not much else.

My 2000 Cadillac Deville hit a curb pretty hard and the tire is pushed back?
I replaced the CV Axle which is helping it drive now but the whole tire and rim is pushed back near the fender. I took it to a shop and they said that once they install the inner and outer tie rods then they could put the tire back in place. I thought that the tie rods were only to turn the tire left and right? Do you think these guys are trying to pull a quick one or are they being honest? I desperately need some help, thanks!
It would be more than tie rods if the wheel is visibly pushed back.Something is bent.

Can I Remove an HVAC/Heat Pump/Air Conditioner Unit Myself? Or Are Special Tools Required?
My heat pump isn't working, and I was wondering if I can remove it myself to sell parts, or if special tools are required.
I know a licensed tech needs to reinstall a new one, but I just want to know if I can remove the old one.

Before the unit can be removed, all of the refrigerant must be recovered from it and stored in a DOT approved container. One must be an EPA certified refrigerant technician in order to access the refrigerant side of a system. There is a fine of up to $25,000 and/or a year in federal prison if you are not certified. The actual removal of the system is fairly easy once the refrigerant has been recovered.

How do I make my cheap drum set sound better and louder without spending money? URGENT!?
I know that Star-caster by Fender drums were not good. But my dad decided to be cheap and buy me that set when i was beginning. The cymbals broke and my heads dented. I never took lessons so i don't know how to tune drums, but i tried tuning them and still they were GAY. I want to know if there's ANY POSSIBLE WAY to make my drums sound better, WITHOUT spending money.
(Read this):
First of all, the toms are quiet, cannot be heard over the snare, and they sound like your slapping plastic when their tuned. The bass, it sounds like slapping plastic also and its tuned. The snare is okay. What really bothers me is the bass and toms. Their a pain in the rear end, A LOT. Plus, I have studio rings. What can i do to make my toms and bass louder and sound better without spending money?
Well, if you have Kent Drums or any other vintage drums. There is little you can do for no money to improve the sound. Everything in time wears down, and when used, drums get damaged easily.
To improve the sound of your drum set, you can do either of these two things. Buy new drums, or replace the skins on it. You can take your drums to any music store in your area and they will, (if they can) replace your skins on your drum set for a small fee.

How do I properly replace the screen in my door? It's the type with the channel and the tubular gray gasket.
I already gave it a shot, but it's somewhat loose. I'd like the job to look clean and sharp.
My local hardware store guy that always did this retired.
I enjoy fixing everything else around here, but this is one of those things I just never got around to learning the pro's technique. I know there must be a simple step by step procedure for doing this.
I have lots of screen, the roller tool, and it seems the gasket still has plenty of grip - but let me know if I should replace that as well.

Buy a spline tool at Home Depot for about $2.00. Buy a roll of screen and a roll of the grey spline. Roll out the screen material over the frame first without cutting it. Take the spline and on one side, use the tool and push the spline and screen into the groove up the entire length, pull the opposite side tight and run the spline on that side the same way. Then, finish by doing the top and bottom the same way.
It is best to get new gasket or spline. The old stuff, even though it masy not seem like it, does not have the elasticity to do this properly.

Help me with my gasket please?
yo, so my car needed a new thermostat, and i replaced it, except i noticed it had this channel on the housing, so, i decided to fill it with gasket maker, and put the gasket ontop of that. Also, it apeared as if the old one was done the same way.
Iv never used gasket maker before, it says 24 hours on the package to fully cure, i know from past experience this is usually an exageration, so at what point will the car be driveablee and at what point can i refill the coolant?

fyi, i had a long adventure gettign this part, and no, i cant get a second gasket, unless i buy one from the dealership for....35 dollars!!!

You can refill the coolant after an hour or so, but I wouldn't drive it for at least 4 hours.
I assume this is a silicone based RTV type of sealant?

A deceptively well-engineered furniture style whose parts are assembled mainly from wooden sticks, Windsor represents one of history's most innovative and recognizable furniture designs. The Windsor family of furniture consists of stools, chairs, cradles, stands, and tables. Chairs are the largest category with eight different basic forms, such as comb-backs, step-downs, and the sack-back version. Chairs also spawned nine derivatives that include stools, rocking chairs, writing armchairs, and child-sized chairs.

The origin of Wndsors is ancient history. Their antecedents can be attributed to the Egyptians, where tomb drawings of the 18th Dynasty depict workmen sitting on three-legged hand-hewn stools socketed to a plank seat. The reason for the name Wndsor is something of an enigma, but the most logical explanation is that they were named during the first decade of the 18th Century after the English town of Windsot whose beech trees provided a plentiful supply of raw material for legs and other turned parts.
Windsor chairs improved on the traditional joiner's chairs of the period by eliminating the need to glue-up seat frames. In a Windsor chair, the seat is a solid plank serving as the foundation for the legs and stretchers and for the spindle back. That simplicity and strengh of design is no doubt one of the keys to the chair's undying popularity and longevity.
Windsor chair making started as a cottage industry in England during the 1720s, but soon became an important factory-based operation, employing hundreds of workers, centered in the town of High Wycombe. Although the first Wndsors in America were chairs imported from England, Philadelphia chair makers almost immediately capitalized on this popular new form of easily made seating. Their one-man shops expanded into large factories.
English chair makers took advantage of the physical properties of different woods for different components of the chairs, using ash for bent parts, beech for turnings, and elm for seats. Their American counterparts used hickory,red oak or ash for bending, maple for turnings, and pine for seats. Windsors were traditionally painted green, but other colors such as blue, mustard and red were also used. The paint concealed the different wood colors and served to protect the wood outdoors, while conveying a unifying wholeness to the piece. Many English chairs were simply dip stained.
