What's the Difference between Super Torque Motors, And High Speed Motors in Airsoft?
I'm just wondering what's the difference between the two?

Depends on your spring and gears. For a stronger spring you need torque up gears along with a super torque motor to run the gears and pull that strong spring back. Of course I'm only talking about the motor and gears; there are many other parts that will have to be upgraded. As for High speed motors, they can be used in conjunction with a lighter spring to make the most out of it and increase the rate of fire.

Hydraulic Motor and Its Types
Hydraulic motor is a motor that converts the kinetic or potential energy of a fluid into mechanical energy. It is a mechanical actuator that converts hydraulic pressure and flow into torque and angular displacement.
It can rotate in reverse direction and act as a pump when powered by a mechanical source. Although a hydraulic motor can be interchangeable with a hydraulic pump sometimes, most often, hydraulic pumps cannot be used as hydraulic motors because they cannot be backdriven. The hydraulic drive system can be formed by hydraulic pumps, motors, and cylinders.
There are many hydraulic motor types which are the most important operating specification to consider when searching for hydraulic motors. The first one is the gear and vane motors. They can be used in simple rotating systems. A vane motor consists of a housing with an eccentric bore, in which runs a rotor with vanes in it that slide in and out. It uses a vane to generate mechanical energy. Pressurized fluid strikes the blades in the vane, causing it to rotate and produce output torque. While a gear motor consists of two gears, i.e. the driven gear and the idler gear. The second type is the axial piston motor which is generally used for high quality rotating drive systems. It uses an axially-mounted piston to generate mechanical energy. High pressure flow into the motor forces the piston to move in the chamber, generating output torque. The third one is the radial piston motors which are available in Crankshaft type and the Multilobe cam ring type. This motor uses pistons mounted radially about a central axis to generate energy.
Addition to the above mentioned elements, there are still many aspects to consider when searching for hydraulic motors. It includes the operating torque, operating pressure, operating temperature, operating speed, and the maximum fluid viscosity, etc. As to the operating torque, it depends directly on the pressure of the working fluid delivered to the motor. And the operating pressure is the pressure of the working fluid that is pressurized by an outside source delivered to the hydraulic motor. The operating temperature is the fluid temperature range the motor can accommodate. The operating speed is the speed at which the hydraulic motors' moving parts rotate.
Undoubtedly, hydraulic motors can be widely used in many applications such as winches and crane drives, roll mills, self-driven cranes, and excavators and so on. Therefore, it is rather necessary to take all the above mentioned aspects into consideration when you choose the hydraulic motors.

How does an auto transmission's hydraulic pump work?
I am converting an SUV to electric motor powered. When the transmission needs to shift I can cut the power to the motor, "disengaging" it from the transmission. Additionally, the motor doesn't idle, so I have no way to keep hydraulic pressure in the transmission at a standstill. I want to remove the torque converter and power the hydraulic pump externally. Is this possible, or can I use an external pump?
The way an automobile engine with a automatic transmission works is essentially a hydrostatic hydraulic system. If you have for example, a 200 hp engine the engines output is connected to the automatic's transmission hydraulic pump. So that pump is actually consuming all the energy of that engine and the hydraulic flow is directed to the torque converter and gears to give motive power.
You could bypass the transmissions built in hydraulic pump, but it is difficult and a waste of a good pump. A better solution might be to keep the excellent efficient pump that is built into the transmission and come up with a diverter of the hydraulic flow so that when you don't need the flow it just loops around in a flow circuit.
This is similar to a power steering pump which doesn't consume power when it is on, but the moment you turn the wheel a hydraulic valve is opened and the hydraulic fluid is allowed to flow into a cylinder and turn the car wheels in the direction you point to
So if you can get a diagram of your SUV's automatic transmissions hydraulic circuitry, you can buy a hydraulic valve in between the hydraulic pump and the torque convertor. So when you don't want the transmission to add to the drag, just divert the flow away from the converter and loop it back to the pump.

'96 RAV4 Wheel Bearing - part+2.5 hr. labor fair? "harder" to put on?
I was told by the garage (not someone I normally go to, so not sure how trustworthy) that my '96 toyota RAV4 (almost 150K mi) needs the left front wheel bearing replaced to pass inspection. they estimated $65 for the part, which is about what I found online. But, they told me it is a labor-intensive job to fix, and would take about 2.5 hours. They said that this particular kind of wheel bearing is "closed" so it's not something that can just be repacked w/ grease, and that it is a tight fit and requires some sort of hydraulic something-or-other to fit it on tightly and accurately - not an easy -to-fix wheel bearing like other vehicles. True? Not true? Please help quick! I need to tell them whether or not to do the work this morning, and I'm trying to get other estimates. Thank you!!
There might be one more suprize the drive flange with the wheel studs can wear away at the bearing when there is slack. Hydraulic Press is used to drive out the old bearing and press in the new one. You might call the toyota parts department and ask if they also sell flanges when wheel bearings are replaced. Yes 2.5 hours is the going price and your mechanic will come out looking like he did something. Front suspension under the fender is the dirtiest place on the car.

Should I buy ramps or buy a floor jack and jack stands to change my oil? Or just pay to have it done?
When using Mobil one for a oil change...the oil change places charge double of other oil change services..so after an initial purhcase for ramps or a jack I'll definitly save money in the long run...Or is it just a pain to do, so have it done with enviromental concerns etc.
Nah, oil changes are easy, dude. Most shops, including Jiffy Lube, routinely screw up the oil change and forget to add new oil or sometimes forget to replace your drain plug.
Go to your parts store and get a drain pan, some good oil (Mobil, Valvoline, etc.), a good oil filter, oil filter wrench for your car, rags, a socket and ratchet that fits your drain plug. The ramps are my fav, but always buy jacks/ramps that are rated higher than the weight of your vehicle. You'll save lots of money and peace of mind 'cause you know you did it right, dude.
My best time is about 10 minutes or less. Always check everything when your done, start the car and run it at about 2,000 RPM for 15 seconds (builds oil pressure), let it idle a sec, turn it off and verify oil level and that there are no leaks.

hydraulic floor jack pumps up but goes back down?
i have a jack i have cleaned all the balls and it still wont hold or even pump up fast keeps going down what do i do
the balls are clean and dirt free have taken everything apart and cleaned still no lift or hold
Sounds more like the seals, or sealing part, of the jack that you turn to lock it out so you can jack up the car and then turn to release the jack to lower the car, are worn out, damaged, or the sealing seat/surface is pitted/damaged. Maybe it isn't turning all the way in from some damaged threads or something in the way.
There should also be some springs for the check balls that may have broken or are too weak to hold properly. Anything that is a rubber/neoprene seal may have a tear/crack that you can't see, but under pressure may become evident as when you try to use the jack. Maybe replacing them all would be the best solution if you can't see it, or getting a new jack.

Make Easy Turnings With the Pontiac Steering Rack
Steering is the term used to the collection of components, linkages and others which allow a vehicle to follow the desired course. The most common steering arrangement is to use a hand-operated steering wheel to turn the front wheels. The steering wheel is positioned in front of the driver thru the steering column. The steering wheel, piston gears, racks and the tie rods are the parts that guides the direction your vehicle.
The two most common types of steering systems are rack-and-pinion and recirculating ball steering. In the rack and pinion steering mechanism, the steering wheel turns the pinion gear which moves the rack from side to side. The rack is sort of a linear gear which meshes with the pinion. This movement applies steering torque to the pivots of the steered wheels thru the tie rods and the short lever steering arm. The recirculating ball mechanism is found in older vehicles and is a variation on the older worm and sector design; the steering column turns the screw which meshes with a gear causing it to rotate about its axis which also moves the pitman arm which is connected to the steering linkage. The rack-and-pinion steering is where the rack-and-pinion gear set is enclosed in a metal tube called the Pontiac Steering Rack and where each end of the rack protrudes from the tube. The tie rod connects to each end of the rack. The pinion gear, on the other hand, is attached to the steering shaft. The motion of turning the wheel is transmitted to the pinion gear which also transmits it to the steering rack. When you turn the steering wheel, the gear also spins, and moves the rack. The Pontiac Steering Rack then converts the steering wheel’s rotational motion into a linear motion needed to turn the wheels. It also supplies a gear reduction which makes it easier to turn the wheels. Normally, it takes about three to four complete revolutions of the steering wheel to make the wheels turn from far left to far right. Lower steering ration means you do not have to turn the steering wheel so much to get the wheels to turn a given distance so the steering gives a quicker response. In the power system, there is a slight difference in the design of the rack. Part of the rack contains a cylinder with a piston in the middle which is connected to the rack. On either side of the pistons are two fluid ports. The power system, though it makes turning the steering wheel easier, adds a new dimension and complexity to the system. To supply high-pressure hydraulic fluid to the steering rack an engine-driven pump is used by the power steering rack.
The Pontiac Steering Rack is not exempted from any damages. The constant wear and tear can cause the Pontiac Steering Rack to leak. In order to ensure that steering is made light and easy there is a need for fluid and if the steering rack has a leak then it will not be able to contain the much needed fluid. Definitely, significant leakage is a basic problem of your steering racks.

I'm not a mechanic, but I'm mechanically inclined. Can a non-mechanic, with basic tools change a power steering pump in an 89 Honda Accord? Has anyone done it and if so any pointers?

yes it is vairy easy power steering up is located on right hand side of engine at the top just loosen off tensioner undo two power steering hoses and fit new pump when fitting new pump it would also be a good idea to check for cracks in pwer steering pump belt when tightening belt just make sure the adjuser is done up enough that it takes the slack out of the belt and when you put the vehicle in full lock it does not squeel
