can I run an 80 amp 120v stick welder off of a normal house circuit with no problems?
I'm thinking about getting a small arc welder from harbor freight and was wondering if I could just plug it into the wall in my garage and run it without tripping any breakers. The breaker for my garage I think is rated at 15 amps. I would just be welding small hobby-like stuff. Or would it be a waste of money because I would spend my time tripping breakers?

It depends on what amps you run, how good of a welder you are, and how long you run the arc. If you max it out (80 amps) for any long weld you will trip the breaker, short tacks maybe not. If you stick the electrode pop goes the breaker. I use a Thermal Arc Arcmaster 160ts on a 15 amp circuit with no problems (best machine on the market but expensive). Yes it trips the breaker sometimes. It is better to have a 20-30 amp circuit but sometimes you just have to use what you have available. Good luck!
By the way if you want to be happy with the welder you get what you pay for. Go cheap, you get cheap. I am not a fan of chicago electric welders. You are better off with a name brand industry standard welder (Esab, Hobart, Miller, Thermal arc)

Strange side effects of the NuvaRing?
I've been having some odd experiences with the new NuvaRing form of birth control that I started a couple of months ago. I've been having a large amount of vaginal discharge when not sexually aroused (i.e. random times such as reading or trying to fall asleep) and sometimes it's been difficult (vise versa of the last problem) to get my body to respond to sexual arousal. I also have been experiencing quite a few mood swings lately, bursting out in tears about every little thing my boyfriend does to be exact. I was just wondering if anyone knew if this was at all normal and any suggestions for helping out. I would really like to continue using them, seeing they are so much easier to deal with than a patch or a pill to remember.
I have the same thing! I've used NuvaRing for almost 2 years. It effects your discharge and almost any birth control will make you moody. This one is supposed to be better than most at preventing that and it should settle down with time. My doctor always encouraged me to give birth control 3-4 months so that your body can adjust. If it's not better by then, you may want to try another type. This is the only dosage available and it is very convenient (although a little pricey).

I'd heard that the positive & negative posts are wired in close proximity and stabbed into the soil near a worm sighting and the current drives the worm out of the ground-- is this rumor or fact
I have in fact heard of that, and the worms crawl to the one pole. ~

Help with a 1997 chrysler concord, I replace the fuel pump but it not taking!?
I replace the fuel pump, and went to turn her on and nadd! Now I know this fuel pump is good, and from what I been told I might need the DRB III for 6k but no way in he@@ em I going to buy that tool. Now does anyone know any tricks to get the fuel pump to take with out this DRB III! I should not need a 6k tool to do a fuel pump then again most cars I work on are 1995 or older some times way older.
You do not need a drbIII to reprogram the computer when replacing a fuel pump. Are you SURE that your new pump is actually working? Try hooking the pump directly to a battery and see if it is working properly. Also there is a relay and possibly a fuse that could be bad.

apple macbook help with frozen?
macbook pro help please.I have something frozen on my desktop not sure what . It looks like a article or possibly something viewed on the web . Above this I see a square box it looks like spaces . I can only see the bottom .
I have tried everything to remove these 2 what ever they are but nothing . stacks seems to be frozen also so I am thinking this might be the problem .
Everything else works. I cant find these frozen things anywhere in the computer . I have tried tech tool deluxe.
other thing I need help with is
trying to load windows split half mac half windows . I dont think this computer came with leopard bought at the end of 2008 .mac os x for a 15 inch macbook pro . anyone know as I need something for the drivers to load windows and the leopard would be the thing.
I guess I could buy a copy or is there some other way ??/
Windows and Apple all suffer from the same woes. Security holes that lets in viruses, ad ware, and malware. I recommend downloading a free ISO Recorder/Burner program from the internet. The go to http://distrowatch.com and browse all the latest distributions and download a 32 bit Linux (which is free to use) operating system that suits you.Some examples are MacPup which somewhat emulates Apple os's and Zorin which emulates Windows.
The Macpup can be set up with an Apple style desktop (some other Linux distros can as well-you'll have to search them out,) and Zorin can be set up as a XP, Vista, or 7 style desktop.
There are hundreds of Linux distros and there's something for everyone. Anything that can be done and then some on that can be done on Windows or Apple can be done on Linux. Your computer will THANK YOU as you'll never have to worry about using antivirus worry about ad and mal ware, or defragment your hard drive. There are also hundreds of forums and all Linux os's have their own to help newbies.

hi can i find out if anyone has changed their water pump before?
i am driving a Renault Megane Cabriolet(soft top) 2001 1.6 16V.noticed that when i drive out this morning,there was a small spot(abt the diameter of tennis ball)of coolant on the floor.i went to a mechanic and he said it could be the water pump leaking.does anyone knows if there could be any other causes?how can i be sure that it is due to the water pump as i had changed it at the 60000km servicing?my current mileage is at 90000km.i thought water pump could last much longer than that.also if it is due to the water pump is there any other cheaper alternatives to changing the water pump?thanks!
You will need to clean the area closes to the where the leak is comming from. All radiator shops and most repair shops have a coolent preasure tester. They will need to put the presure about 15LBS past the cap pressure and you should see coolent spraying out from the leak area. At the same time you will be diagnosing your entire cooling system. Gaskets, radiator, hoses, clamps, water pump, heater hoses and system. This is the only test to be definate in locating the leak.

Is it possible to connect a laptop computer to your car's computer?

Sure I do this all the time. I have an Audi and I own a VAG-COM tool (Audi / VW specific ODBII tool), to diagnose my car problems.
Other cars manufacturers also have similar tool or you can just get generic ODBII scan tool and skip the laptop all together. There are at least one open source ODBII so you can build a connector for your laptop.
