Is it hard to switch units as a reservist for personal reasons?
I am a reservist in the AF. I love my job, but I hate the place I live (civilian wise). I want to move somewhere to the west coast, and I have checked and there are plenty of vacancies available for my career field.
Is it hard for a reservist to switch units? I do not have a civilian job or housing in the place I plan to relocate to, yet, although I am certainly planning to. I would really love to leave this hell hole. Thanks.
Folks change units (and often MOSs) in the reserves all the time for personal reasons.

How do I get dirt out of Burton P1 ratchet?
Hi! My board accidentally fell into the garden at my house and some soil got into the ankle ratchet of my P1. For those who have em, P1 ratchets are soooo silky smooth and silent when you flip em. Now it's making a very faint but noticeable "scrape-crackle" instead of the usual silence. It's driving me nuts!!
try using a can of compressed air. they're normally sold in office supply stores for getting the dirt out from underneath keyboards and other tight places. that should do it. if its really stuck in there..... try to submerge it and then click the ratchet part back and forth to free any thing up. make sure it dries properlly and then i'd probably give it a squirt of wd40 just to make sure everything is running smooth again.

Inversion Tables And Gravity Boots To Relieve Back Pain
Inversion tables, gravity boots, and other mechanical devices are used by thousands of people who suffer from back pain as an alternative to drugs and surgery. Recent studies back up what these people are finding with medical evidence. In 2008, a study from Newcastle University in England found that patients who regularly used an inversion table reduced the need for back surgery in more than 70% of back pain patients.
To understand how inversion therapy helps, you need an understanding of your spinal discs. These discs are really shock absorbers that cushion your back and separate vertebrae while allowing for flexibility. When a disc is damaged, compressed, or improperly positioned the vertebrae may put more pressure on nerve roots within the spine. Deterioration and compression of the discs is natural due to the constant pull of gravity on you spine. If you are a bit on the heavy side, then the process may be accelerated. Because gravity is constant, your spine never gets a rest.
Inversion therapy provides opposite pressure from gravity, relieving your discs and allowing them to recover from the constant pressure of gravity. Because inversion allows your discs to separate, pressure on nerves is decreased, discs are allowed to rehydrate,
When your body is inverted, your spine is relieved from pain-causing pressure. In fact, this would be the only time the pressure is relieved. Even laying down maintains pressure on your spine (approximately 25 % pressure when laying down). Inversion reduces 100% of pressure on your discs.

Minimun bet - Black jack tables on Fremont street?
I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago and the tables I saw on Las Vegas Blvd all showed a minumun bet of $15. I want to play somewhere that has a $10 or $5 minimum. Is there anywhere on the strip I can find these tables? Or would I better off finding these tables in the Fremont Street hotels?
Hooters was dealing $3 blackjack when we were there last...Slots-A-Fun has had at least one $1 table for as long as I can remember..Casino Royale has $5 minimums
You will have no trouble finding a $5 game downtown...The best would be the El Cortez, they have 6 single deck 3/2 games and most of those tables have a $5 minimum..
Two places we enjoy are Main Street Station and the Four Queens.

Dining Table Pads: Why Do You Need Them?
For a lot of people, a dining table pad may be considered superfluous, even unnecessary until you consider its uses and applications which may then make it clear why table pads may be necessary additions to dining tables.

Is there any good brand of mini laptop which doesnt overheat pretty quickly..and does not need any cooler pad?
I have this compaq laptop which overheats really quick. It stops working when it overheat and turns off just like that. Having a cooler pad does not really make a laptop really portable. Im looking for a good mini laptop which does not overheat quickly and does not need a cooler pad. Imagine having a mini netbook with a cooler pad. It sucks...Any suggested brand?Mac?Vaio?Dell??
Compaq and some of the older Asus Netbooks are the only notebooks I've seen that actually overheat.
I had a Toshiba get so hot that it stripped the varnish off of my desk but It never slowed down a bit.
Sony Vaio's are the best all around laptops being made.
Lenovo's are a close cheaper second.
Dell's are overpriced IMHO
Acer Aspire One's are awesome Windows XP Netbooks.
Mac's are great if you're into that sort of thing.

Failed PAT Testing Label
The issue of electrical safety both in the workplace and in the public domain has been addressed by the British government through the enactment of several pieces of legislation, beginning with the Health and Safety at Work Act of 1974 through the Electricity at Work Act of 1989. The code of regulations that apply to electrical safety of machines, components, appliances, and tools has evolved under the auspices of the Institution of Electrical Engineers and City and Guilds. These guidelines call for the testing of all electrical devices manufactured, sold, imported, or installed in the UK.
The use of the term Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) was originally intended to be applied to the testing of all electrical devices, although the term also can be applied to the testing equipment itself. The In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment code more correctly describes the process of running tests on the internal and external wiring of all electrical devices to determine their integrity. The results of the testing must be displayed on the device, which at times will be in the form of a failed PAT testing label when an electrical device does not meet these standards.
PAT testing constitutes a variety of procedures by necessity, due to the wide spectrum of types of electrical instruments, appliances, and tools that are in use either in large manufacturing processes or in smaller private business settings. The unique way in which each device draws and utilizes electricity must be tested to ensure that continued use of the device will present no hazard caused by electrical malfunction. Specific procedures for the testing of each type of device are meant to account for the frequency of its use and the risk it may pose to the environment in which it is used.
A failed PAT testing label will be affixed to an electrical component or tool when it does not comply with the various government guidelines that address electrical safety. There are a variety of types of PAT testing labels due to the spectrum of circuitry designs that are found in machines and instruments. Those devices that are fixed in place may only display a failed PAT testing label on its main power lead if its function is only of storage, as in the case of a refrigeration unit. A failed PAT testing label may be affixed to the chassis of a tool, such as an electric drill used on a production line in a factory.
The accepted color of a failed PAT testing label is red. This color is used due to the general acknowledgement of the connotation of danger associated with a red warning label. The size of a failed PAT testing label will depend on the available space on which to affix a label. These labels are available in plug top versions that affix to the various plug ends of electrical leads. They are also available in wrap-around version with an adhesive backing to be affixed to the lead itself. Stronger materials and laminating options are also available to provide added endurance in those environments in which high usage or traffic may cause wearing of a failed PAT testing label.

i dont think hat you should try that. the amount of pressure available in a diesel will create problems without a regulator.
