Circuitry 12 volt 8 AAA batteries LED indicater?
So I was wondering, using some leds, transistors, resistors, etc how can I make a power level that will detect the level of the batteries(8 AAA=12V DC) using leds and some other parts? Is there a way to do this without using programmed chips and all?
like for example when there is 12v all leds will light, but when it = 4v 4 out of 8 leds will light instead and etc...

The LM3914 bar/dot display driver chip was made for this job. You'll need the chip, a couple of resistors, and not much else.

When to Choose Paintless Dent Repair
Paintless dent repair is a wonderful solution for many types of vehicle body repairs. It is more affordable than traditional repairs, preserves the value of a vehicle, eliminates the use of environmentally harmful chemicals and solvents in the repair process, and takes much less time to complete. It is covered by most insurance policies and typically comes with a workmanship guarantee. Many paintless dent repair companies will even travel to your home or office and complete the repair while you wait.
There are a number of situations in which paintless dent repair is the better choice over traditional repairs made at a body shop. These scenarios are outlined below.
1) Hail damage. Hail damage can cause a large amount of damage to vehicles located across a wide geographic area. In such cases, body shops can become backed up for months at a time as they become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of repair claims to which they must attend. Paintless dent repair provides an option for quick repair of hail damaged vehicles without the hassles of having to deal with body shops. As hail damage does not usually cause sharp creases in the metal or chip the paint, paintless dent repair is an ideal solution to restore your car to its original finish.
2) Dings. Dings can be caused by a variety of factors, ranging from shopping cart damage to pebbles thrown against your car while driving to dings from the impact of a car door in a parking lot. These types of dings can be very annoying, but fortunately are prime candidates for paintless dent repair. The dings usually occur on the hood of a vehicle (pebble or stone damage) or along the broad side body panels of a vehicle (shopping cart damage and dings from car doors). The broad, relatively flat surfaces of the panels affected by such damage does not require the services of a body shop. In fact, if you were to take your car to a body shop for the repair of this type of damage they would likely use paintless dent repair anyway.
3) Fender benders. More serious dents than those described above can occur in minor collisions with other vehicles or stationary objects. Don’t let the size of the dent discourage you from seeking the assistance of a paintless dent repair professional – it is not the size of the dent which makes a repair a good candidate, it is rather the type of a dent. A broad shallow dent in a body panel can usually be fixed using this method. Even many creases can be repaired in this manner provided the paint is not chipped or otherwise damaged.
While the vast majority of damage that can occur to the body of a vehicle can be repaired using PDR methodology, there are some damages that are not appropriate for this type of service. Some examples of damages not suitable for paintless dent repair would be sharp creases, punctures in the metal, tears in the metal, or in any situation in which the original finish of the vehicle is not intact (such as broken or chipped paint, scratches, and scraping).
If you are in doubt about whether or not your vehicle can benefit from paintless dent repair, it is best to take it to a PDR specialist for an opinion prior to taking it to a body shop. You would be surprised at the many types of vehicle damage that are responsive to PDR

How much would it cost to repair a back fender of a 05 mercedes sedan if a screw punctured it making a dent?
I hit a mercedes today going about 4 miles per hour and the screw from my licence plate made a small hole in th back fender and around the hole is a dent which is a little smaller than a coaster. Any idea how much that would cost to repair?
They're going to come back with some ridiculous quotes under the circumstances.It may be best to let the insurance companies work it out if the figure of $500 or more comes up. Good luck with it.

Nordyne Furnace Pilot sparks sometimes - A/C fan starts to blow?
My 15 years old Furnace ran well 3, 4 weeks ago – suddenly the Blower blew cool air while the Thermostat Control Switch was ON position (I found out that it was the A/C started blowing cool air).
1. I turned Control Switch and Thermostat Disc to higher position, A/C ran right away (maybe Blower blew cool air from the Duct), after 2 minutes dann blew warm air.
2. The Sparkler (it is the Pilot but lights from the Electronic Control Board, I guess) and the Burner worked unstabled: Sometimes they started to burn if I had luck. When the Furnace ran for about 1 hour than it started to blew cool air (Burner is off) and after that the Pilot is not able to re-light.
Can any HVAC expert help me to identify the Malfunctions and where can I order the part.
Someone told me it was the Thermocouple and some told me it was the Electronic Control Board and the Gas Control Valve.
How can I test them before I buy because the parts are very hard to find.

hot surface igniter or ignition like a spark plug?
if it is a hot surface igniter it can work when cold but upon expansion it may cease to function.
check your grounding wire (green) sometimes they can make system operation intermittent. the one on the blower wheel
some models have and LED that will tell one what is wrong with the system look at the lower door panel on your sys.

Building an LED circuit that is powered by a solar cell?
If I want to build an LED circuit that consists of multiple LEDs and is powered by a solar cell, what do I need? I know I need resistors. Anything else? Do I have to worry about if the current gets too high?
You must first determine the forward voltage of the LEDs you wish to use. For example red ones will be around 1.6v while green or yellow ones can be 2.0v or so. Next get the spec on the forward current of the LEDs, this figure will usually be the maximum current they can handle so you can go up to this figure or stay below it. You then must find a solar cell or combination of cells to produce the voltage and current necessary for the LEDs.
For example if you were to use 4 red LEDs connected in parallel with forward voltages of 1.6v and currents of 10mA each, you would need a supply to produce 1.6v with a current output of 40 ma. If your solar panel does not exceed 1.6v then you would not need resistors to limit the current. However to get more consistant output from the LEDs you may want to use resistors so the current paths are isolated. In this case you would need a higher voltage output solar panel. The formula below calculates the resistors needed.
(solar panel voltage - led forward voltage)/LED current=resistance in ohms
6v solar - 1.6v (LED)=4.4v 4.4v/0.01A (10ma for one LED)=440 ohms
connect a 400 ohm ( +/- 10%) resistor in series with each LED, then connect the led and resistor combinations in parallel across the solar panel. With the rated amount of light for the panel's specs you should have the correct voltage and curent for each LED. As the light level drops the LED's will glow dimmer. RemeMber that the solar panel's output is highest and rated with continuous wave light ( sunlight ), not the light from a household bulb that is pulsing at 60 Hz !
Clear as mud ? don't worry there is a fudge factor here so you can have latitude in the figures. The above math is merely the ideal solution, not the iron clad rule to make this work.

how fast can you heal from a dry socket?
its the 3rd day, and mine just popped out and im all of a sudden in a lot of pain, bad news is that's i had just called my boss saying "ill be find to come to work tomorrow" spoke to soon i guess. how is the healing process? what can i eat?
just go to the dentist the same thing happened to me and they pulled it out
just rinse your mouth with warm baking soda and DONT DRINK WITH A STRAW no matter what! so just go to the dentist to be on the safe side it can get infected and you dont want that at all.

transfering videos from camcorder DCR HC-38E to computer using 4 pin to usb i link cable?
i installed the software of sony handycam DCR-HC38E into computer. then i fixed the i-link cable into the 4-pin jack of camcorder and 4 pin usb jack of the computer. the computer shows usb device not recognized. also the computer didnot find the handicam. tell me how can i transfer videos from camcorder to computer
Paul R is correct - one additional item:
Your computer must have a firewire port. Using a 4-pin-firewire-to-USB converter cable will not work. You must connect the camcorder's DV port to the computer's firewire port. No USB anywhere in this connection.
Firewire, i.LINK, IEEE1394 are all the same thing. They are not USB - USB cannot handle the streaming the is required for high quality DV format video from that miniDV tape based camcorder.
Since you did not tell us which computer, we have no way to know if it has an available expansion slot so you can add a firewire port... or if it already has a firewire (or 1394) port.

Where can I buy exotic car replicas?
Lately, I've had a huge interest in exotic car replicas like the Murcielago, Pagani Zonda, Rolls Royce, and Bugatti Veyron, most built on a Toyota MR2. I've seen videos on youtube of exotic car replicas but when I try to find I dealer/hobbyist and research them, I find them to be a bit mysterious/untrustworthy. Is there any professional place I can go (anywhere in America) for replicas?
Why not save $200k if you just want the car for bragging rights, eh?
Money isn't an issue. I'm looking to buy 2 or 3 replica exotic cars.
See, I don't understand this. I'd rather have a good new car that is fun to drive and practical (I don't care about bragging rights, if I can't afford the real deal then I don't deserve them). But if you must, then I'd look around on eBay or Craigslist; I know eBay has plenty of kits.
