Do you believe that talking on the phone while driving even if you have a head set is still dangerous?
Why? Perhaps maybe because you're still talking therefore not paying attention to the road?
There are many behaviors that are risky while driving. The level of risk varies with the behavior.
When auto radios first became available in the 1940's, many people thought they would be too distracting for drivers. (Believe it or not, at least one company actually installed a specially-dampened record player inside a car's glove box - if that is not distracting, I can't think of anything else.)
Research has shown that cellphone conversations can be as distracting to a driver as a one who has had a couple of drinks. A hands free cellphone eliminates the dialing problem so the risk is reduced, but a driver engaged in a serious conversation has some of his or her brain disengaged from the driving activity - so the risk is not completely zero.
There are many other dangerous practices that should be discussed in the debate of 'good' driving', such as eating or drinking (non-alcohol of course); reading a map/newspaper/book; personal grooming (shaving, brushing one's hair; applying makeup); text messaging; trying to reach an object on the passenger side seat or floor or back seat; watching a DVD movie -- just to name a few.
The best practice is devote 100% of your attention to driving and pull over and stop to do anything else.

Question about model kit decals.?
Working on building a model Jeep Kit (Daisy Dukes Jeep)
I tried to apply the decals to the kit and they basically crumbled to pieces as I tried to apply them.
I have built quite a few models in my day....but this is the first time I have ever seen decals crumble. The kit was stored in a garage for over a year. I am wondering if being stored in the harsh cold could have caused them to become brittle?? Any insight would be a big help..
That could effect them. Try some local hobby shops for a decal fixative spray. This will lay down a film that will hold them together. Spray it on the sheet of decals, light misty coats.The same shop may have a solution called Micro Sol. Apply this to model before and after laying them down. Also, decals like a glossy surface to lay down on. Hope that helps.

do i need any special tools to do a rear axle seal on a 99 f-150?
Also i was wondering if i should do the axle bearings while im there. And if it will continue to leak even if i change the seal.
when u take brake drum off there should be 4 nuts on brake back plate loosen and use slide hammer on wheel stud 2 extract half shaft bearing on shaft need puller to get bearing off or split with cold chisel if bearing ok dont touch hope this helps

Where Can I Buy Parts For A Kobalt Tool Chest?
I have a tool chest and base chest from Kobalt that needs some repair and a replacement drawer and various other parts. Its a nice Set so i dont want to get rid of it I want to repair them. Can anyone help? Even a 1-800 number for Kobalt would be helpful. Call Lowe's, they are the exclusive dealer for kobalt tools. Lowe's will back up that brand at all cost..... and I do mean all cost. Even replacing it if you can't get it repaired. Most of the drawers have been spot welded and cannot be repaired. I say, Take it back!!

What is the best four post car lift/ramp to get?
That's not too expensive.
Something like a Bradbury 40 lift can be bought fully reconditioned for about £2500 (3 ton capacity). They do the job but 4 posters are very awkward things to work around.
I'm assuming you've got your reasons for wanting a four poster but I prefer 2 post lifts as they leave the wheels free and allow more access to the underside of the vehicle.
Something like a GEG240 4 ton lift (single phase operation) can be bought new for <£2000.

Need a tool to screw the ring on a light fixture socket?
It's for people whose hand is too big to fit in the glass to screw on the socket ring that holds the glass on. Does that make sense? Please help!

I purchased a 4 lamp vanity light with these ceramic rings that hold the bell shaped glass to the fixture, the only problem was….. my hand did not fit.
I was going to go find some little kid with small hands to help me …..but approaching some child and asking them to help you with your fixture …….ARREST THAT PERVERT!
I was able (with the fixture up side down) to seat the ring and used a screw driver to slowly screw them on.
I now know why this fixture was drastically marked down

What size air compressor do I need for most air tools?
There are apparently several different measurements on a compressor (tank size, air delivery, maximum pressure. Which one is the most pertinent regarding the tool handling capacity?
It needs to maintain a good solid pressure, so if you are going to use anything for a long time, like a sander, it takes a good sized compressor. The portable one's just don't maintain it. Then again, you want to move it around too. So any of the ones that are chest high or so work great. While a bigger one would be even better if you know you'll never have to move it (auto painting, etc.).
