how much will cost my camaro 78 with house of kolor paint and pearls i want it in black?

House Of Kolor is awesome paint. Materials & labor will run for $2500 to $4000 depending on what you decide to do. Be sure the person painting the car absolutely knows & has experience with the product. Regardless of the quality of the materials the outcome will only be as good as the person who applies it. Candy Apple & Pearls are trickey to apply but the results if done by an experienced painter are awesome. PPG & Dupont carry a line of radience based finishes that are less costly & less labor intensive. But here's a tip for you. If you decide to use a lacquer based finish the best product that I've found to remove small surface scratches & swirl marks is "Brasso". I've used it to hand polish entire cars after the final wet sand of the clear coat. It's the stuff your Mom uses to polish her silverware & it works absolutely amazing. I have detailed & polished many show cars over the years & have always given the owner a small can of it when I return their vehicles. It can also be used with a buffer & is a lot more economical than the name brand commercial products. I've never had a problem arise from using it. In fact I highly recommend it. It is very good for removing the fingernail scratches from around door handles, radio faceplates & chrome surfaces. Give it a try you'll love the results.

When mixing acrylic paint how can I get a sage green color?
I am new at painting and I need to know how to get a medium to light tan color and a sage green color. Thanks!
Start with a dab of base green, this is 1 part. Take a brilliant or true red and apply a small dab, 1/2 part. You should bring in the red slowly, a little bit at a time until you achieve the desired hue once you have sage green you can tone it with white.

can I do the roll on $50 rustoleum paint job technic with other types of paint?
I'm looking to do a cheap paint job to my 89 honda to make it look a little nicer and I want to paint it a bright vibrant blue but rustoleum doesn't offer a blue I want. I found a blue offered by house of kolor called true blue pearl that i really like but my question is, can i do the roll on technic with this paint like I can with the rustoleum oil based paints? I want the blue to really pop and I haven't found a blue made by rustoleum that does that really.
Some people use marine paint like Interlux.

How much would it cost to paint the interior for my house?
My house is 1700 square feet, 2 story and has vaulted ceilings on the second story.
I bought all the paint and supplies. I also plan to move all the furniture myself.
I need the interior painted except the cupboards, my master bedroom and all the bathroooms. (I am doing those my self).
So I need about 1300 square feet painted.
How much can I expect to pay a crew to come out to my house and paint it on a weekend?
I was thinking it would cost around $2000???
You can paint your house for alot less than paying someone to do it. I recommend going to Ace Hardware to get your paint. They have high quality paint at a really good price. You could do 3 maybe 4 gallons per room at $20 bucks per gallon of paint. Supplies are cheap. Definitely don't pay someone. You wont need to prime unless the current color is darker than the one you are putting on. Priming at that point helps your new paint cover better.

How to use PPG deltron dbu?
i recently bought some PPG deltron dbu from english color and im wondering what i should use to thin it and how do i know how thin to make it im new to painting and im painting a ninja 600. any info is much appreciated!

Make sure you use a compatible primer (check the link below) sand the primer with 600 and then go over it with prep-sol.
The reducer you use depends on the temperature of your paint booth:
Cold Temperature (45 - 55°F) DRR1150
Cool Temperature (55 - 65°F) DRR1160
Medium Temperature (65 - 75°F) DRR1170
Warm Temperature (75 – 90°F and above) DRR1185
Hot Temperature (90°F and above) DRR1195
Reduce it 150% (1 part paint to 1-1/2 parts reducer)
Use a fine cone-strainer when you pour the paint from the mixing bucket into the gun cup.
Set the air pressure on your gun and adjust the gun for an even spray pattern. Test-spray some masking paper to make sure it doesn't run or splatter.

Your compressor should have a good air dryer on it or you will get fish-eyes. Set your air pressure on the gun to:
8 – 10 PSI at the cap for HVLP guns
35 – 45 PSI at the gun for conventional guns
(with trigger pulled)
Your first coat should be a light tack coat. The next two coats should be thicker color coats.
BTW, You know that's a BC/CC system right? You're gonna have to clearcoat it within 24 hours.
Be sure to use a respirator.
Edit: Most clearcoats require a hardner/catylist. If they mixed it with clear you need to call the place you got the paint from and find out if it needs a hardner, and what the mix ratio is.
Deltron basecoat doesn't require a hardener... just a reducer. It's possible that the reducer activates the clear but without knowing what kind of clear they mixed there's no way of knowing. Most Automotive finish stores have sales people who are very familiar with the products. Give 'em a call.
