Help me with my gasket please?
yo, so my car needed a new thermostat, and i replaced it, except i noticed it had this channel on the housing, so, i decided to fill it with gasket maker, and put the gasket ontop of that. Also, it apeared as if the old one was done the same way.
Iv never used gasket maker before, it says 24 hours on the package to fully cure, i know from past experience this is usually an exageration, so at what point will the car be driveablee and at what point can i refill the coolant?

fyi, i had a long adventure gettign this part, and no, i cant get a second gasket, unless i buy one from the dealership for....35 dollars!!!

You can refill the coolant after an hour or so, but I wouldn't drive it for at least 4 hours.
I assume this is a silicone based RTV type of sealant?

For Buying Scissor Lift Tables
Scissor Lift tables are not just required for lifting the objects but also for the proper positioning of the material while working to prevent work related injuries. These tables are used for improving the efficiency of the workers and therefore should be bought only after doing proper planning and research.
Here Are Some Tips For Buying A Scissor Lift Table.
1. List down the purposes for which you need a lift table. To help the workers do their job easily and properly without repeated stretching and bending, check what type of platform the workers require. Do they need the one that rotates or tilts besides being able to rise to a desired height? Do the workers need a mobile or a stationary lift table? And so on.
2. Determine the amount of load you want your scissor lift table to hold. The machines with heavy load limits are costly. Find out the approximate amount of the load that the table would be required to carry. There is no point in spending a lot of money on high-end machine with a high load limit, if you need one that can carry only up to 1000 pounds.
3. There are different types of scissor lift tables available in the market. Decide the type of equipment you want to buy. Your choice should depend upon whether you want to use it indoors or outdoors, the amount of load you want to lift with it, the height to which the load has to be lifted, and the environment in which the equipment has to be used. Hydraulic lifts are good for bigger loads and higher heights. Gas powered equipment are good for outdoor operation while electric ones are better for indoors. If the equipment has to be used in a corrosive or humid environment, then one should pay particular attention to the material of construction of the scissor lift table. In such cases, buying a stainless steel lift table is a good idea.
4. One should check the safety features of the scissor lift tables. This equipment is used at workplace to increase efficiency and reduce workplace injuries. Therefore, one should never ignore the safety aspect while buying or renting it. Some of the important safety features to look for are safety bar, toe guard, velocity fuse system, and safety skirts.
5. Check the duty cycle of the equipment. The high-end machines have a duty cycle of around 50 per hour while the normal ones have a duty cycle of around 3 per hour. You should determine the duty cycle that you will need before buying the scissor lift tables. Using the equipment for more cycles than its prescribed limits would lead to its accelerated wear and tear. Therefore, you should buy equipment that closely matches your duty cycle requirements.
6. Last but not the least; always trust a reputed manufacturer of a scissor lift table. This would ensure that the equipment you buy is of good quality and adheres to all safety guidelines. If you are not able to get a standard lift table that matches your requirements, you could opt for a custom lift table.

Why does my pool table cloth lift when I grip it with my hand?
The cloth has been doing this ever since I got this table. I’ve played on many different pool/snooker tables and I have never seen this happening. Why is this happening?

will the oster (sp?) nail grinder kit work on my GSD?
I have been looking at a few of these kits on ebay and I cant tell if they will work for his huge nails the brand I mentioned is available close to me. I looked at a few others one store clamied they are a grooming shop and thier product would work but you just never know. Anyway anyone had any success with a particular grinder on a large breed
I don't know about that oster grinder, but as a professional groomer I know that the dremel is amazing...You can get a dremel from your local lowes or home depot. Even though the dremel is small power tool it is no different than the oster grinders except the cost to replace the heads on the dremel is much less expensive.
I bought one with many different speed settings and use it on dogs ranging from teeny tine yorkies to big newfoundlands. I have noticed that most dogs prefer the dremel over clipping because it doesn't create uncomfortable pressure.
You need to make sure you know how to properly grind a nail before using one, you can damage the nail and hurt the dog if you use too high of a speed.

me and dad are setting up a personal gunsmithing shop?
okay me and my dad are setting up a gun smith shop im wondering what tools ill need were not professionals we dont need a lathe or that kinda stuff. we just wanna be able to drill and tap for scopes, cut down and recrown barrels, bend bolt handles, refensish stocks, cold blue, dura coat, and reload ammunition so where wanting to know what tools well need to drill and tap, recrown barrels and bend bolt handles, give me a link to the tools online we know where ganna need a grinder a drill press and alot more so please just start naming some tools a HOBBY gunsmith needs.
where just doing it for our selfs no one besides me and my dad firearms will be worked on and yes there are ways to re crown barrels without a lathe
The first thing you need is a set of gunsmiths screwdrivers
More guns lose value by having buggered screws than just about anything else
You will also need a set of brass punches
For the other stuff you are going to need a good drill press
Dremel tool
Air compressor for the Duracoat, you can use it with cans of air but using a real airbrush makes a huge difference
Inexpensive sandblast gun
A cabinet would be nice and save you money in the long run but is not absolutely necessary unless you do a lot of bead blasting
You're gonna need a torch for bending metal things MAPP might do it but it will take a lot longer
And of course a good tap and die set
Barrel cutting and recrowning is above my paygrade so I have no recommendations there

How You Too Can Create Your Very Own Ceramic Water Filter
One of the more unique and highly effective water purifier methods on the market right now is ceramic water filtration. The filer was ultimately invented solely as a result of a world vision project. After some research and trial and error, the problem of the clay being too fine for water filters was solved and the ceramic water filter was ready.
By adding organic matter, the clay is capable of cleaning water and holding up as an effective ceramic water filtration system. The filter is capable of removing multiple contaminants and cleansing the water to give it a rich and crystal clear taste. Along with contaminants, the filter has been found to remove 96-99.8% of E. coli bacteria.
The ceramic water filter is made from clay that is mixed with a grained organic waste material. Anything such as coffee grounds, tea leaves, or rice hulls are suitable for the organic waste material. After the ceramic water filter gets its formation of a cup it is then placed in a kiln with cow manure, and grass and leaves.
As the ceramic water filter is in the kiln the organic matter is burnt away leaving only silica and tiny holes for the water to pass through. These tiny holes allow the water to pass through and the filter purifies the water to a crystal clear taste.
While the ceramic water filtration method is fairly new, it is quickly gaining popularity for many reasons. The main reason is because of the simplicity and how inexpensive it is to make. With the few materials and organic matter needed, the ceramic water filter can be made by anyone anywhere.
Another benefit to the ceramic water filter is how quickly you can produce clean and efficient water. Along with how quickly you can clean the water, you can save a lot of water in the process as well. With only one filter you can clean a liter of water in just two hours.
While the idea of using cow manure seems a little outrageous to clean your water, it is an effective method that is reasonably priced and easy to do. This water purifying method is new and quickly gaining popularity because of its origin and the ability to remove E. coli. With just a few materials and organic matter, you too can have your very own ceramic water filter and make it yourself as well.
