Volvo Expansion Tank Hose Keeps the Engine Coolant Flowing
Friction from a vehicle engine’s operation results to extremely high temperatures. To avoid the overheating of engines, automakers install cooling systems in automobiles. As larger and more powerful engines are getting manufactured, however, the cooling system technology needed to adapt to the demands of these new engines. In turn, car-manufacturing companies like Volvo created new cooling components. A clear example of such is the expansion tank.
An expansion tank is a container that provides extra storage space for the expansion of a coolant—a fluid used to dissipate heat. A Volvo Expansion Tank Hose ensures the optimum flow of coolant as it connects the vehicle’s radiator with an expansion tank. An expansion tank is sometimes called coolant reservoir or overflow canister.
When engines heat up, the coolant consequently expands. Without the expansion tank, however, the coolant will just flow out of the cooling system and get displaced to the ground. Volvo Expansion Tank Hoses are crucial in engine cooling systems. Without these components, coolant is not delivered to overflow canisters and cooling systems become very ineffective.
Aside from containing the coolant that has expanded with heat, the expansion tank also makes the cooling system more efficient by eliminating the air bubbles from the coolant. Coolant without air bubbles absorbs heat much faster. When the engine is sufficiently cooled, a vacuum in the cooling system sucks back the coolant through the Volvo Expansion Tank Hose. A properly functioning cooling system does not lose any coolant as the tank hose completes it as a virtually closed system. Even if the level of coolant in the expansion tank rises and falls, the radiator remains full all the time.

A Quick Guide on How to Build a Nice Swing Set
One of the nicest things that people can have around their homes is a nice swing set, which they can eventually use to relax and unwind during all those lazy afternoons. Simultaneously, they can use a nice swing set to entertain and amuse their children, giving them a safe, fun, and enjoyable activity. By following this quick simple guide on how to build a nice swing set, they can now spend countless hours just hanging around on their backyards.
The basic tools needed to build at nice swing set include a shovel, a saw, and a drill. At the same time, a ratchet and a hammer may come very handy when creating a very nice little swing set at home. On the other hand, there are certain materials that people cannot do without, especially when making swing sets. Eyebolts, concrete tube, and nails all have functions at this simple project. The other required materials are water, sand, cement, screws, bolts, swing, post anchor, sandpaper, 2x4-inch stock, and 2x10-inch stock.
In building a nice little swing set at home, the process can be subdivided into five basis steps, namely selecting the right location, building its foundation, cutting the wood, assembling the swing set, and the finishing touches. After successfully gathering all the required tools and materials needed for this simple project, they can now start building their very own swing sets at home by referring to this quick guide.
1. When selecting a good location for a swing set, it must be placed somewhere safe and stable, making sure that everyone who uses it can get out of it safe and unharmed. At the same time, the soil where the swing set stands must be solid ground.
2. When building holes on the ground as foundations, each hold must be at least an inch in diameter and four inches deep. In places where the weather is really deep, make sure that the holes are dug deeper than the frost line. Place the concrete tubes into the holes, and then pour in the cement to solidify the foundations. On top of the drying cement, place an anchor in preparation for the next step of the process.
3. Take four pieces of the 2x4-inch stocks then cut and round their ends. Miter one end of the stocks to the 2x10-inch upper beam and the opposite end to the anchors of the foundations. To create a mid-point attachment to the leg boards, cut boards horizontally then connect them together.
4. In assembling the boards, place a couple of leg boards into a clamp and then drill holes at the middle of the leg boards. Create a funnel-shaped enlargement at the outer end of a drilled hole. Create eyebolt holes at the top portion of the beam, and then put together the top board, horizontal support boards, and leg boards. When all the components are completed, fasten them to the foundation.
5. Now that the swing set is almost done, examine the project all throughout and look for certain imperfections. Use sandpaper to remove splinters and rough spots that can be harmful for the users. As a finishing touch, paint all the wood components of the swing set. As a precaution, the wood must be primed before painting it with any oil-based material. At the same time, it is much better not to use lead-based paint on this project.

Two feet should be plenty. Be sure to use treated wood or you'll be replacing it every year or so. Use concrete in the hole after you seat the post, and use your level to check plumb.

Arc welding is probably the most easily and readily available welding process on the face of the earth.
Just about anyone can get access to an arc welder. Arc welding is also called stick welding, and the technical name for this welding process is manual metal arc welding or MMAW for short.
But don't go around town saying that you can do or are doing MMAW welding or that you are doing manual metal arc welding. People will look at you and think you are a few beers short of a six pack.
It is just called arc welding or stick welding.
One of the main reasons why arc welding and stick welding is so readily available in any county is the simplicity of the arc welding process and machine.
Essentially an arc welder is just a big electrical transformer. Its job is to transform electricity. What does it transform it into you ask? Well the transformer in an arc welder will transform the power coming into the welder, i.e. from the power point at 110v, 220 or 240v or 415v etc into a more stable and controlled power supply that is usable for welding.
As hard as it is to believe, when you are arc welding the actual voltage at the welding arc is only very small, around about 20 volts give or take up or down a few.
So the transformer transforms the power from say 240volts down to about 20volts and in doing this it will allow there to be a usable welding arc.
Most arc welding and stick welding machines are DC, which is direct current. The electricity comes in from the power lead that is plugged into the wall socket at say 240v AC, and the transformer does its bit and steps the voltage down and rectifies the circuit so that it is now a DC source, ideal for welding.
You know that you can grab two 12 volt car batteries and hook them together to make 24 volts, and like this you can weld with them. Yeah true. Car batteries have very large current drawing capabilities, which is exactly what you need for welding. And see how the two batteries will equal 24volts, this is good enough to arc weld with.
Many people who go four wheel driving and long distance bush driving in Australia will usually have two batteries in their four wheel drives (SUV). So all you have to do is throw in a pack of general purpose electrodes either E6013 or E6012 of a small diameter (try 2.0mm) and you can arc weld out in the middle of the dessert if you needed to.
Any smart traveler will have a set of jumper leads in the back of the vehicle. So all you have to do is join the two batteries together using some existing wiring from the vehicle. This is done by joining the positive terminal of one battery to the negative terminal of the other battery.
Then simply clamp the jumper leads to the now larger 24volt battery, and you have a quick and simple arc welding machine that you can use to make roadside repairs in the middle of nowhere.

how to spot weld aluminum with an arc welder?
i have a small hole in the bottom of my but how do i spot weld it with a arc welder stick welder. i know you have to clean it very well iam not trying to run a bead just a small spot weld bit iam using a stick welder not a wire feed welder.i bought aluminum welding rods 1/8 in they didnt have any 1/16
i said i only have an arc welder not a tig not a way to braze it
first off clean ,clean, clean. Any impurities will make a hard job even harder. Second preheat the base aluminum to a good warm temp. not too hot though or you will warp the metal around the hole. make sure the rods are dry and have no moisture at all absorbed in the flux. set the amperage low , somewhere around 60 - 80 amps. striking the ark and getting it to hold will be a little difficult. If the base metal is thin, then a continuous weld is out of the question for a novice. instead, do like you were talking about and build up a few spot welds on top of and around each other until the hole is sealed up. stick welding aluminum is a very tricky and hard task to master, so take your time and try not to loose your patience. remember once aluminum starts to go molten it likes to fall out very quickly leaving a bigger hole than what you started with. oh yes, one last thing, make sure the rods you're using are the right rods for your welder AC rods for AC welder or DC rods for a DC welder.
