Hydraulic Puller – Features and its Applications

Can some one help me remove a crank from the sprocket?
I have a 96 Mongoose and I learned that the crank was recalled. Anyway, I bought a crank puller and pulled the crank. However, all of the sprockets are still attached to the crank. Is there some special technique to get these off? I tried driving it out with my hammer and it did not go anywhere. Do I need a special tool? Is there something critical I'm missing?
-Some of the older Mongoose cranks have the chainrings riveted to the spider arms. Since this is a recalled crankset, just send the whole crankset back to Mongoose (Pacific)for a new updated crankset.
-Or your chainrings could be bolted to the spider arm. Check to see if there are Allen bolts holding the chainrings to the spider arms. If so, just use an Allen wrench and unbolt the chainrings from the spider arms.
Some cranks have 4 spider arms, so you will have 4 Allen bolts holding the middle and big ring and 4 allen bolt holding the small chainring.
Some have 5 arms thus 5 allen bolts for big and middle and 5 for the small.
-Also, while your crankset is off check the bottom bracket and make sure it turns smooth and has no play. Hope this helps. = )

The Science of Hand Trucks
Also known as two wheeled dolly or sack truck, the hand truck is an invaluable piece of equipment. Widely used in store rooms and warehouses, they are sometimes also used to transport baggage at train stations and other similar environments. Hand trucks are now available in some variety, some can even be used when going up or down flights of stairs, but they are all based around the same basic design.
The hand truck operates using the concept of leverage. Levers operate by multiplying mechanical force from one end - the 'effort' (in this case the person pushing the truck), so that it can be applied with more force to another object - the 'load' (boxes being pushed). In a basic sense a lever is a rigid object that is used with an appropriately placed pivot or fulcrum in order to achieve this increase in force. There are three basic classes of levers, the hand truck is a first class lever - the pivot is located between input effort and output load, the lever swings about the pivot when force is applied in order to overcome the force of resistance on the opposite side. Other examples of first class levers include see-saws, trebuchets and even shoehorns. In hand trucks the axis is the fulcrum, they are also designed to put the weight burden primarily on the wheels when in use, rather than on the user. One of the first to understand that simple machines do not create energy, they just transform it, was Galileo Galilei, he noted this is in Le Maccanicle in around 1600. With new understanding of these concepts from great minds of the scientific revolution, basic machinery was able to evolve. Levers are still considered one the six simple machines, alongside wheels and axles, pulleys, inclined planes, wedges and screws.
Of course the idea of levers had been around long before Galileo. Archimedes of Syracuse (c.287BC - c.212BC) is said to have had a great understanding of and belief in the lever. In a letter to King Heiro he is claimed to have said, that given a place to stand and a lever, he would be able to move the whole world. Although it has since been discovered that moving the earth with a lever would require mind boggling distances and amounts of time, Archimedes was able to demonstrate the power of levers in another way. He is said to have created the appropriate lever to launch a ship from a harbour by himself.
This may all seemed far removed from hand trucks and similar material handling products. They are tools used every day by companies and other organizations throughout the world, but the physics that explains how they work is rarely considered. It is worthwhile to remember that even primitive tools had to evolve and be understood before any serious technological or mechanical advancement could be made. The hand truck is an example of a basic lever that is still widely used today. It is also advantageous in that it is environmentally friendly, simple to use and durable. They can be cheaper to maintain than some pieces of equipment as they have fewer moving parts that can potentially need replacing. With several kinds available for differing needs, hand trucks are likely to be in use for a while to come.

What is the easiest way to move my 55 gallon aquarium?
I would like to be able to move the fish in the water in the aquarium. I am only moving about 200 yards away from where I live now. Is it possible to drain about half the water and put the aquarium on a dolly and wheel it to my new house? Will they be safe?

The easiest and safest way is to empty everything out of it and use the water you're draining to move your fish, gravel, decorations, etc. in buckets... Believe me, we always run into this and end up not moving the aquariums... Too fragile and if the customer decides to attempt it, they usually spend the next 2-4 hours cleaning up the mess...
By draining the old water into buckets and re-using the same old water, your fish will have an easier time re-adjusting to the new setup and the water change... That will definitely help in not stressing out the fish so much...

am I doing this workout diet right?
I started a diet and fitness program 2 weeks agao . I drinka slim fast shake for breakfast and 1 cup of cabbage soup for lunch and 1 shake again for the whole afternoon and then 1 cup od cabbage soup for dinne rand wate rin between.
I also run 30 min a day,hoola hoop with wii fit and yoga and strenth training. I went from 179to 177 but then it goe sback up. is this normal? I have never been this big and working hard to change my life. I am bottom heavy and 5'7".

With a regiment like that, you'll be lucky to see any results! It isn't very healthy! You probably won't lose weight, and your body is gonna be very deprived.
Your body probably isn't getting the nutrients it needs since you mostly consume Slim Fast shakes and cabbage as your main food groups... Whenever you do eat those things, they will just stick to you, and your body will absorb them as fat! All your hard work going to waste!
Instead, mix it up with other fruits, vegetables, eggs, chicken, tuna, ect. You know, the basic food pyramid. You can keep your calories low if your main goal is to lose weight. But just remember to mix it up so your body uses it as fuel. Eating the same weak foods like Slim Fast and cabbage will not help you lose weight. Good luck!
