What is the average fuel consumption of a BMW 320i Highline?
Hey ppls 
I recently got a new car which is a 2004 BMW 320i highline. Im really concerned about its thurst for petrol seeing as i havent driven it to the end of one tank. I have surfed the net for an answer but i thought it would be better just to ask somebody (and also im lazy).
Can anybody tell me what its average fuel consumption is (km/L)?
I know that fuel consumption depends on the way you drive. I even have a meter that tells me its km/L consumption (which i dont think is corect because it's reading 6.7km/L atm).

And the BMW 320i has the zest and zoom promised by its looks. The 2-litre engine, with a quick shifting manual transmission, is capable of racing from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds, and achieves this thanks to a maximum power of 115 kW at 6400 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm at 3600 rpm. The BMW 320i has a vigorous top speed of 220 km/h (218 for the six speed automatic version), and is capable of pulling 695 kg (unbraked) if required. The fuel economy of the manual variant of the BMW 320i is very commendable, averaging 5.9 litres/100 km on the open road. Around town, as one would expect, the BMW 320i consumes slightly more (11.3 litres/100 km), giving an average of 7.4 litres/100 km. The figures for the automatic BMW 320i are only very slightly higher, being 6.0 litres/100 km in the country and 11.4 litres/100 km in town, which average to 8.0 litres/100 km.

Newair Acp-1300e Portable Ac – Just in Time for Summer!
When it comes to beating the summer heat, most people look to air conditioners to stay cool. The majority of air conditioning units are situated in a window and are usually installed in convention single- and double- hung windows, but some models can be installed in sliding windows as well. In addition, some homes are also equipped with central air conditioning systems. These air conditioners work from a central location to distribute air within a home or building. The only problem with these two types of air conditioning systems lies in the fact that they require permanent installation or may not be suitable for apartments or condominiums – areas where there are space or installation constraints.
With that said, a portable air conditioner is the solution. Primarily used for spot or supplemental cooling, portable air conditioners are great for cooling individual rooms, offices, or even computer server rooms because they can be moved from room to room and offer quick installation without lifting or damaging window sills. Nonetheless, when choosing a portable air conditioner, the key is to find a unit that’s not too small to cool the room and not large enough to waste energy.
As such, our product team has been testing a range of the most popular portable air conditioners on the market, and we’ve come across NewAir’s most recent product offering: the NewAir ACP-1300E portable AC. Featuring an ample 13,000 BTUs of cooling power, this unit was not only powerful and affordable, but also chock full of exciting features. We tested this unit on a muggy Los Angeles afternoon in a 200 square foot bedroom of an apartment. Here is our review:
First Impression
According to NewAir, the AC-1300E portable air conditioner is very similar to the ACP-1400E, but with a newly styled body. The sleek white finish made the unit unobtrusive and the elongated body design was perfect for corner placement in our bedroom. The VFD screen was easy to ready and provided bright light and clear contrast. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that the screen lit up in the dark. Large, built-in casters let us move the unit from the bedroom and down the hall with ease, while the remote control allowed us to control the NewAir ACP-1400E from 50 feet across the room. Moreover, we were also happy to note that this unit used a standard 120-vot household outlet.
Cooling Power
The NewAir ACP-1300E featured 13,000 BTUs of cooling power and this was more than enough to cool our bedroom. Auto-evaporative technology eliminated the need to empty any drain buckets, and we found that the exhaust hose was wider and larger in diameter than those found in other competing models. In turn, this resulted in more efficient cooling and better airflow.
Dehumidification
In addition to providing cooling, this portable air conditioner also acted as a dehumidifier due to the refrigeration cycle. The NewAir ACP-1300E had an extremely large dehumidification capacity of up to 120 pints per day while using only 950 watts /10.8 amps of power.
Nose Level
While not completely silent, the NewAir ACP-1300E portable air conditioner was very quiet even on the highest fan setting (less than 52 decibels). We had the television on with the air conditioner running and found that it did not disturb our indoor environment in the least.
Built-In Air Purifier
The NewAir ACP-1300E was definitely multifunctional because it also included a built-in air purification system. Large airborne particles first passed through the washable air filter, while smaller particles were attracted onto electrostatic plates via the ionizer. Lastly, to address noxious household odors, an activated carbon was able to aid with odor adsorption.
In closing, we found the NewAir ACP-1300E to be a great portable air conditioner that was perfect for cooling personal spaces. With so many wonderful features, this unit proved to be a great buy.

Is it possible to drill directly into a PVC drain pipe to create another drain?
I have a portable AC unit which spits out about five gallons of water per day (I live in Florida) which I have been emptying into a bucket.
My goal is to create a drain that the AC unit can drain directly into. I have located a drain pipe (coming from a bathroom faucet) that I can easily access.
My question is, can I just drill a hole into the drain pipe and insert and seal w/ pvc glue a smaller PVC pipe which I could then hook the AC unit up to? I figured this would be much easier than having to plumb in a T joint (I think thats what its called).
If this is possible, would I need to make a trap or could I just have it directly hooked up?

Yes you can do this.
YES you need a trap to prevent the back-flow of methane gas.
I wouldn't do this if you have a septic system; it invites a potential problem [although minimal] with the drainfield and the unknowns of the effects of two bacterial/fungus composition

Take the bus transportation from Downtown Disney. This way, you can park your car for free and take the busses everywhere else. When you arrive at the bus loading area (located near the end of Downtown Disney's Rainforest Cafe), you'll see different loading stations for different places. Wait under the sign of the place you wish to board and you're good to go! Just keep in mind that these busses also make stops along the way, so it may take a while. Plan way in advance to get up early.

HVLP Spray Paint Guns
HVLP stands for high-volume, low pressure. They are more efficient and cause less over spray than standard spray paint guns. If you do a lot of spray finishing, an HVLP spray paint gun can save you money over the long run because you will use less paint. You can use your shop air compressor's powerful air output to run a spray paint gun. A trigger operated spray paint gun takes paint or finish and mixes it with high pressure air. The paint is atomized and sprayed out in a cone shape to produce a neat and controllable pattern. An experienced painter can produce very nice finishes smoothly and with a professional look. HVLP spray guns are widely used in automotive shops to produce factory quality finishes. Most HVLP spray paint guns allow you to change out nozzles for different types of finishes. Examples are lacquer, stains, paint and varnishes. However, thick latex paints are not advisable. (You can't use your HVLP spray paint gun to paint the house.) Most spray guns have a 1 quart cup that attaches below the nozzle and others have a top mounted cup. These are referred to as gravity feed spray paint guns. HVLP spray paint guns require large amounts of air to operate for continuous spraying. The paint gun manufacturer should tell you in the specs how much air is required to operate their gun.
One important thing to be aware of is that HVLP sprayers cause lots of over spray and will make a mess. It is very important to wear paint coveralls, breathing protection and eye protection. Also, masking and wheel covers are important to protect the car you are painting. HVLP spray paint guns are not precision instruments. It is more like a shot gun approach to painting. They are very good at applying a professional finish but they also blow paint everywhere. Body protection is very important when using HVLP sprayers. You can get away with minimal protection when painting a room in your house, but with these tools you need to make sure your whole body is well covered before you begin spraying. Because they out so much and in such fine mist, breathing protection is absolutely mandatory. Tiny droplets of paint will be suspended in the air and you will inhale them without a respirator mask on.

I'll use it to paint wood furnitures, shelves, dressers, etc.
I have and used many different types of pressor and gravity sprayers. The right one for the right job can be useful.
If you get a pancake five gallon compressor you won't go wrong, you can make adjustments for all of them without a problem. If you buy one to small you'll be in a fix when it comes to continual spraying, you'll be constantly waiting for the compressor to "catch up"

Refrigerant Leak Detector And Finding Leaks In Your Air Conditioner
As summer approaches, it is time to start thinking about our car's air conditioning system and if it is working properly. One of the most common problems with an A/C system is refrigerant leaks and locating them. Finding the source of the leak can be a tedious and time consuming. The leaking Freon could come literally anywhere in the system from tubing to a accumulator to a tiny pressure switch gone bad. The EPA has made it much more stringent rules in dealing with refrigerant leaks. The days of topping off the air conditioner with a few cans of R12 are long over. Now even small leaks must found and corrected. Here comes technology to the rescue. There are several methods air conditioning repair shops employ to locate and fix refrigerant leaks. Each method has its pros and cons and their use depends on the situation. The three most commonly used are a electronic refrigerant leak detector, ultraviolet dye leak detection kit, and ultrasonic leak detector units.
Electronic Refrigerant Leak Detectors
Electronic Refrigerant Leak Detectors are the quickest and easiest to use of the three methods. Most of the time you will have no idea where the refrigerant is leaking and have to narrow down the possible areas. A electronic refrigerant leak detector can get you very close to the location of the leak and from there you can get more precise. Some of the better models will allow to crank up the sensitivity once you get the area found. For very small leaks you can wrap the suspected area in cling wrap or a rag to try and contain the refrigerant. When you unwrap the area, put in the refrigerant leak detector and see if you get a reading. Remember, refrigerant is heavier than air and it will sink to the ground. It is best to sniff under tubing and compartments when looking for it.
Ultrasonic Leak Detectors
These are state of the art leak detectors and are the newest tool to find refrigerant leaks. They operate on the principle of sound detection. Instead of sniffing for refrigerant gas they listen for the sound it makes as Freon escapes the system. To use an ultrasonic leak detector the system should be pressured in order for the refrigerant to leak out and make noise. Also, the work area must be totally silent. Remember it is looking for sound and no background noise is imperative. This is the main drawback to using an ultrasonic leak detector. Very few auto shops are quiet enough to use it effectively.
Ultraviolet Dye Leak Detectors
This third method ultraviolet dye is injected into the air conditioning system and in theory should escape with the refrigerant. Commonly, an auto shops have an ultraviolet leak detection kit that has all of the tools necessary to complete this task. Generally these kits come with ultraviolet lamp or ultraviolet flashlight, a dye injector, safety glasses and ultraviolet dye. This method is the most technically complex of the three and is the messiest. You have to inject the ultraviolet dye into the system and wait for it to leak out. The dye can be messy and get all over the place. It gets in you're A/C system, your refrigerant manifold gauges and you. However once you shine your ultraviolet flashlight and spot the leak, you usually can see exactly where it is.
Each method has its pro and cons. For the beginner, I would recommend an electronic refrigerant leak detector and the professional auto shop would be better served with an ultraviolet leak detection kit.

What all do I need for a A/C leak detction?
Can you fill up the system and use a halon or hydrocarbon detector? Does that work for small leaks?
To pressurize with Nitrogen, I need a vacuum pump and frean canister, then what kind of leak detector do I use?
I am EPA certified but I'm vague on some of the specifics. Right now I offer recharges but would like to also do leak checking.
Soapy water is more than adequate. Unless you suspect a very slow leak.
