Topology or Architecture of Structured Cabling Systems
A common complaint among network administrators is the network going down on a frequent basis. Network downtime problems can often be attributed to inferior cabling systems rather than hardware faults or issues and could potentially be significantly reduced by installing standards-compliant structured cabling systems.
A structured cabling system is a single mixed media network that integrates all information traffic flow and incorporates voice, data, audio, video and more. Structured cabling also provides administrative and management capabilities. This produces the high-performance networks that many businesses have come to rely on.
What Function Do Structured Cabling Systems Have?
Each workstation has an individual cable that feeds into a passive centralized cross-connect in the network room or server room. In most cases, network administrators can identify cables for each individual workstation or area with basic labelling and colouring systems.
The network room becomes the focal point for a central administrative panel with the ability to make additions, changes, and alterations to the network system. In this instance, structured cabling is independent of the technology it connects and feeds.
Benefits of Structured Cabling Systems
Along with the convenience of being able to perform hardware upgrades with a minimum of downtime, structured cabling systems also have the advantage of easier identification of network issues or problems.
Structured cabling systems also support future applications and upgrades, like adding multimedia applications or video conferencing or making changes to hardware with very little upgrade inconvenience.
The ability to access a centralised information source from multiple work stations simultaneously means administrators have the ability to implement internal staff email systems, internet access, general information automation, document sharing, printer sharing, file transfers and more.
Another excellent benefit to businesses is the ability to automate software updates across an entire organization via the structured cabling system. This means alleviating the need to upgrade each workstation machine individually, increasing productivity, and reducing down time.
Architecture of Structured Cabling Systems
Structured Cabling System design begins at the building entrance facilities, which provide the point at which outside cabling interfaces with the internal backbone cabling.
From there, the cabling systems need to meet in a passive centralised cross-connect in the network room and equipment room. The backbone cabling provides the interconnections between each of the telecommunications closets, the equipment rooms, and building entrance facilities.
The backbone cabling may include vertical connections between separate floors, cables connecting equipment rooms and building cable entrance facilities and may even incorporate cables between buildings for inter-building communication and access. Backbone cabling feeds to centralized hubs, from which each work group is connected via horizontal cabling systems.
Horizontal cabling sub-systems should then extend from the telecommunications outlet and network hubs out to each individual workstation. Individual workstations may encompass cabling requirements for station equipment such as computers, data terminals, and telephones, patch cables such as modular cords, PC adapter cables and fibre jumpers.
Network cables are the medium through which information usually moves from one network device to another. Commonly used with LANs, the type of cable used for a network will be related to the network's specific topology, protocol, and size.

USB to LPT (25 pin) interface cable to use it for control projects?
I have a usb2lpt port cable and I want to use it in my control projects (I don't have lpt port in my laptop)
the problem is I tried to test it to control a LED using emu8086 but it's not showing any change to the LED , so is the problem with the address (378h-37Ah) or do I need a program to do such thing ?

Apparently many of those parallel adaptor cables only present an emulated printer interface to Windows and not the old school 378h interface.
Find an old computer, a PCI interface card with a parallel port, or use a USB serial adaptor instead.

Stopping Squealing Brakes
Stopping the vehicle is one of the essential parts of driving. We have all been driving down the road at one time or another, just to hear the squeaking of breaks that come along with vehicles that are driving by. Sometimes, it's our own vehicles that are making these squeaky brakes. Many drivers are unaware of the problems that can come with squeaking brakes. Did you know that this often an indication of brakes that have been worn down, or brakes that need attention from a mechanic or other vehicle professional?
What causes brakes to squeak? Vibrations that come through the breaks squeaking can cause the irritating squeaking that we have come to know. The high frequency of the vibrations results in the high pitch squeaking. Alternatively, the squeaking can come from the disc that secures the brakes, when the vehicle is coming to a stop.
How are brake problems fixed? Many times, the complete brake system requires replacing to correct the problem that is associated with the squeaking brakes, other times. The brake pads, brake discs and shoes can all be replaced when the brakes begin to squeak because the surfaces on the brakes are exposed to each other without any padding.
Sometimes, new brakes have been known to squeal immediately after they have been replaced. If this is the case, give the brakes a few days to measure if the noise has subsided. If not, return to the mechanic to have the breaks examined to ensure that all components were installed correctly.
Did you know that depending on when the squealing of the brakes is present, than it can help to diagnose the problem? Did you know that a constant squeaking or squealing could mean that the brakes have dirt, grime or even a stone stuck within the mechanism? If the brake noises stop and start throughout the duration of the trip than it could mean that the brake pads are wearing down. Regardless of the noise coming from the vehicle, it is important to have the problem checked by a mechanic immediately, as it can mean there are serious safety issues occurring within the vehicle: after all, it is important that we are able to stop the vehicle when necessary, quickly and with ease.
Brakes are an essential part to the vehicle, therefore ease should be taken when choosing to install the brakes at home. Sometimes, errors can occur which can decrease the effectiveness of the brakes when they are truly required. If you choose to install your brakes at home, you should have proper know-how about technique, procedure and specific trouble shooting tips for brake installation.
Many drivers are unaware of the fact that brakes squeaking can be difficult to diagnose and can be even more difficult to stop. Did you know that in many vehicle manuals, brake squeaking is defined as being a normal function of the vehicle, as there is no liability to the auto Production Company, or warranty? For this reason, check your brakes - know your vehicle and be ready to take it into a licensed mechanic.

We have now taken delivery of all our 3mm summer wetsuits, with some great new products available for the summer 2010 season. New to our Surf Shop is the Rip Curl 3mm E3 Bomb Pro Chest Zip Wetsuit and its a serious contender to the XCEL wetsuit of recent.
The Rip Curl E3 Bomb Pro Wetsuit has long been regarded as Rip Curl's most flexible wetsuit and this season's wetsuit, we think, is the best yet.
The Rip Curl E3 Bomb Pro Chest Zip Wetsuit uses the new super lite E3 neoprene so that you have the maximum flexibility when in the water and is their most flexible neoprene yet. We've test driven this wetsuit and it almost feels like a 2mm on!
The torso panels on the front and back are 3mm and the legs and arms are 2mm to also help with movement in the water, and to limit the pressure of the muscles used.
The Rip Curl Wetsuit is fully glued and blindstitched and the weetsuit also incorporates Aqua Ban 3/4 liquid tape, which is a flexible durable seal which is applied to the inside and outside of a glued and blindstitched seam ensuring that no water penetration through these areas.
One of the most beneficial features to the E3 Bomb Pro Cest Zip Wetsuit is the chest zip itself. The chest zip entry makes in easy to get in and out of the wetsuit, but also limits the amount of flushing or water penetration into the suit, as its sealed at one side only.
With flexibility being one of Rip Curl's main areas of focus on this seasons summer suit, the shoulder panels are also seamless, giving the most amout of flexibility around the key paddle zones.

what does qui pro domina justitia sequitur mean from the DOJ seal?
there doesn't seem to be any direct translation from latin to english
In a revised letter, dated February 14, 1992, from the U.S. Department of Justice in reply to a request for an English rendering of the Latin motto appearing on the seal of the Department of Justice: "Qui Pro Domina Justitia Sequitur," as well as an explanation of how the Department came to adopt the motto, the Department responded that there has not been an "entirely successful" effort "to arrive at definitive answers."
In that letter, the following effort to explain the motto appears to be the most direct and well-documented:
"...The curious obscurity surrounding the origins of the Department's seal makes it difficult definitively to interpret the motto appearing on it. As I suggested above, no evidence has been unearthed that indicates unambiguously how, why, or when, the Department's motto was chosen and placed on the seal, or what its exact meaning may be.
According to a longstanding (and officially-sanctioned) Department tradition, however, the motto was suggested to Attorney-General Black by a passage in Lord Coke's 'Institutes,' Part 3, folio 79, which reads thus:
'And I well remember, when the Lord Treasurer Burleigh told Queen Elizabeth, Madam, here is your Attorney-General (I being sent for) qui pro domina regina sequitur, she said she would have the records altered; for it should be attornatus generalis (i.e., "(your) attorney general";) qui pro dominal veritate sequitur.'
The first of these phrases is believed to have been quoted by Burleigh from a Latin form then in use (all judicial proceedings were at that time required to be recorded in Latin) in making up the record of actions brought by the Attorney-General on behalf of the Crown. It is translated, 'who (the Attorney-General) sues for (or on behalf of) our lady the Queen.' "Sequor" is employed in the same sense (i.e., to sue or bring suit) in the 'Statute of Westminster' 2, Chap. 18, as follows: "in elections illius qui sequitur pro hujusmodi debito" (see 'Coke's Institutes,' Part 2, folio 394). In fact our word "sue" comes from "sequor" (See 'Century Dictionary').
Dean Pound [Letter dated October 2, 1933, from Roscoe Pound, Dean Harvard Law School, to Albert Levitt, Special Assistant to the Attorney General] elaborated upon this story and offered his explanation of the motto thus:
'The matter is very simple indeed. The "pro" goes with the noun and the verb. The motto is taken from the commencement of a pleading in a proceeding by the Attorney-General at common law. ...[U]ntil the reign of George the Second, all pleadings were in Latin. The Attorney-General began, 'Now comes so and so, Attorney-General, who prosecutes on behalf of our Lord, the King.'
In the reign of Elizabeth, of course, this would have been 'who prosecutes on behalf of our Lady, the Queen.' Domina Justitia - our Lady Justice - was substituted for our Lady the Queen, or our Lord the King. In other words, the seal asserts that the Attorney-General prosecutes on behalf of justice. This would seem a very appropriate motto for the Federal Department of Justice.
I remember reading Mr. Easby-Smith's [James S. Easby-Smith, "The Department of Justice: Its History and Functions." 1904] account of this and it seemed to me very baffling on this point. The passage in Coke's 'Third Institute' [sic] means that when the Lord Treasurer introduced Coke as Attorney-General to Queen Elizabeth he said in Latin, 'Here is your Attorney-General qui pro domina regina sequitur', [sic] that is, who prosecutes for our Lady the Queen[.] Elizabeth, who was an excellent scholar, answered, "It should be, Attorney-General who prosecutes for our Lady the Truth."
Other, basically similar, interpretations of the motto - some grammatically suspect, others more or less literal than the foregoing, but none inappropriate to the Department's mission - have been advanced. Notwithstanding such alternative translations, however, following Dean Pound and the Department's immemorial tradition, the most authoritative Department opinion suggests that the motto refers to the Attorney General (and thus to the Department of Justice), 'who prosecutes on behalf of justice (or the Lady Justice).'"

Can You Die From Anxiety Attack?
Your heart start to beat rapidly as anxiety consumes you. You can barely breathe and your start gasping for air. You feel disoriented and all you want to do is run to a safe place. You really feel like dieing then and there.
"My heart really hurts. Wait...OMG! I am having a heart attack, I am going to die!"
Does that sound familiar to you? It sure does to most people who suffer their first anxiety attack.
These are just a few common symptoms experienced by someone having an anxiety attack. However, the most pressing concern is no doubt the fear that your about to die.
So...can you die from anxiety attack?
Well...NO!
Even though it may not feel that way, anxiety attack cannot kill you. While its true that your heart does hurt and they are pounding rather abnormally, that doesn't mean that your having a heart attack. Anxiety attack is anxiety attack. Heart attack is heart attack. Do not mix them up together.
Unfortunately, most sufferers instinctively do just that! You need to understand that these symptoms (heart pounding, difficulty in breathing, dizziness, etc) are the results of your body being in a state of "high alert" - your "flight or fight" reaction. These reactions are triggered for no reason and you mistakenly believed that your in danger, when in actual fact, your not!
This is the reason why anxiety attack cannot kill you. Its suppose to feel like that! Your heart start pumping faster to bring more blood to your limbs, so that you can run. You start to breathe faster to take in more oxygen. This is what the "flight or fight" reaction is doing, to prepare you against incoming threats and danger - except there's no danger!
Anxiety attack causes these "flight or fight" reaction to trigger...and you just at the receiving end of it. That is why it confuses you! You can be doing your daily activities like watching TV, driving, cooking, etc...but suddenly your hit by strange symptoms and your feel like dieing.
Remember this fact: You cannot die from anxiety attack. You are NOT having a heart attack. You are NOT choking. You are NOT fainting. You are NOT going crazy. Above all, you are NOT dieing.

Someone just told me that i could die from that.
so if someone pointed the gun up in the air and shot it when it falls down can it kill you or go through you like a regular bullet?
It happens. Though it may not be from penetrating the skull.
I've heard of small objects falling from heights that do kill, but from a concussion.

There is a side to these magnificent handmade works that we don’t usually notice or see very often; the clasps. These may be the most overlooked pieces of jewellery, but there are many different designs and types; from the simple stinging material or ribbon that ties in a bow to the fancy decorative ones. There are some clasps that may be part of the design and some just simply create a closure in a more utilitarian fashion.
The Claw Clasp
One of the most common clasp types in the claw. It’s a hook with a spring to open and close in order to secure the bracelet or necklace. This is a great and secure clasp but the small ones can be quite difficult to open. It is also very difficult to use the claw clasp on a bracelet as you may need two hands; one to hold it in place and one to control the mechanism.
The Hook Clasp
A hook clasp is simple and typically handmade. This type of clasp is easier to use especially on bracelets. All you need to do is hook the loop while the clasp is open. If your hooks are too wide at the opening the jewellery may fall off. Tightening it is as easy as pinching it together once it is hooked together.
The Toggle Clasp
The toggle clasp is a simple ring and bar setup. The bar is one that swivels and you would simply insert it into the ring. The bar needs to be longer than the diameter of the circle in order to stay hooked together. They are easy to use and usually are very decorative; they can serve as an embellishment as well as a closing clasp.
The Magnetic Clasp
The magnetic clasp is good for jewellery that is not too heavy and is not strung. They may be very convenient to use when they connect properly, but sometimes they do not get connected properly which can mean lost or jewellery. This would not be a good decision for a bracelet as you may catch it on something and the magnets are just not strong enough to hold together. Another place where a magnetic clasp would not work is a heavy, chunky necklace; again, the magnets are just not strong enough to hold together under the strain.
There are still many types of clasps that have not been covered; but this will give you some idea of what to look at or think about when purchasing jewellery or making jewellery to wear or sell. Beauty does not denote practicality; don’t just think of aesthetics when you choose your clasps. If you are making jewellery always try it on yourself first to make sure the clasp is easy to use and practical.
