Making Your Own Jewelry Series Part 3
I am excited about getting started today. When I think about jewelry, I think about the end product. I rarely think about the process of creating and designing it. I just see it as a finished product in our warehouse and wonder which outfit I can wear it with or if that design and color is right for me. It has been fun to take a step back and look at the process one must go through to get a positive end result. It takes patience and skill to make jewelry and there are several ways to go about doing just that.
One of the first types of jewelry making we are going to discuss today is wire jewelry. This type of jewelry making uses any type of metal you choose. You can use something as inexpensive as copper wire or go with pure gold. This type of jewelry making is great for beginners to get started as the techniques you learn for this will be the basis of other types of jewelry making such as beading or metalsmithing. You need about 15 items to get started in this kind of work.
You will need 3 different types of pliers. The first is large bent nosed pliers which is a lot like basic flat nosed pliers. There is no texture or pattern inside of the pliers, like many have to help with grip. That way your wire does not get marked up or have impressions from the grip. These pliers are like an extension of your hand as the nose is bent and is great at helping to straighten, bend and pull the wire just the way you need it. Small bent nosed pliers are just a smaller version of the pliers we just talked about. These are great for working with tight spots and holding wire while it is being wrapped around a dowel or another piece of wire. Round nosed pliers are used for making perfect loops in the wire.
Other supplies you would need are clamps, a polishing cloth, wire cutters, 18 gage copper wire, a hand driller, wire twisters, a raw hide hammer, a ring mandrel and a ruler. You want a better butt, right? Of course you do, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this.
Well, there are a few things you need to know when it comes to getting a butt that you're proud of.
First you must make sure you're working your butt muscles with every exercise you do that's targeted to your butt.
I know that sounds stupid, but it is very common for women to not even work their butt muscles when they're doing an exercise that's supposed to be working their butt.
Take the squat for example.
If you don't actively flex, or "squeeze" your butt muscles as you stand up, your butt will not get worked to its full potential, thus making the workout pretty much worthless when it comes to losing butt fat or building a firm, sexy butt.
Also, if you don't keep your heels on the floor and start the movement from your hips rather from your knees, you put way too much pressure on your knees and back, taking all the focus off the butt which is where it should be.
We can also throw the hip extension, or "butt raise" exercise in there as well.
This exercise is performed while lying on your back, with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. You then squeeze your butt muscles and hamstrings to raise your hips off the floor as high as possible, before slowly lowering back to the floor.
If this isn't done properly, your low back will do a lot of the work. Or, if you go too fast, and let gravity do all the work, your butt muscles will hardly be worked.
Those two tips can be used with lunges as well. If you don't actively flex, or squeeze the butt muscles as you stand up, you won't work those muscles as hard, which means you won't lose butt fat and you definitely won't get that firm, sexy butt you're after.
When it comes to doing cardio, you can do a couple things to really hone in on the booty muscles.
If you're using the treadmill, or running outside, you should increase the incline or run up a hill. Doing so forces your butt muscles to work that much harder.
Or, if you're using an elliptical machine or stationary bike, you can increase the resistance used to increase the tension on the butt.

Catalytic converter warranty for a 2006 330i BMW?

I have a 2006 330i BMW that has 72000 miles, the 'check engine soon' light came on, after taking for a diagnostic the computer says that the catalytic converter may need to be changed.
I understand that the EPA enforces a warranty on catalytic converters, how can I look for this regulation for this vehicle and how do I make BMW to comply with it?

Whoever diagnosticed it is a retard. Bmw's dont bring up CHANGE CAT CODES. Take it straight to the dealership and have them diagnose it. It is probally a bad 02 sensor or something.

Honda Dominates Which? Survey
Japanese car manufacturer Honda shows why it is one of the rising threats to other major carmakers. At this year’s Which? car reliability survey, the Japanese automaker virtually swept all distinctions for different segments. The said car reliability survey was conducted in the United Kingdom and is considered as the biggest survey in the said region. This year, almost 100,000 respondents were polled.
The Honda Jazz, which is known as the Honda Fit in the United Sates, Japan, China, and the rest of North America and South America, topped all cars on the survey. An overwhelming 96 percent of the more than 1,300 Jazz/Fit owners said that the hatchback rarely lets them down. This made the Jazz/Fit the leading nameplate in its class in terms of reliability.
The Jazz/Fit is not the only vehicle made by Honda with a good reliability according to consumers in the United Kingdom. The Honda Accord with its Honda Accord catalytic converter was tied with the BMW 3 Series and the Toyota Avensis for the top honors on the large car category. All these three nameplates received favorable comments from 94 percent of the polled owners of the said nameplates.
For the Multi Purpose Vehicle or MPV category, the Honda FR-V received 91 percent favorable votes from the polled owners. The MPV from the Japanese automaker is also the only minivan in the European auto market with a 3+3 seating configuration apart from the Fiat Multipla.
The previous generation of the compact sports utility vehicle CR-V also received favorable results as it topped the off-roader segment. The CR-V shared the honors with the Toyota RAV4 which is considered as its toughest competition in the market.
Aside from these winners, the car survey conducted by the subscription-only magazine and website includes Asian and European nameplates. For the luxury car segment, the most reliable car according to the respondents of the survey is the Audi A6 with a 91 percent approval rate. For the MINI-MPV segment, the Nissan Note topped its competition by registering 94 percent of approval rate from its users.
For sports cars, respondents of the survey singled out the Mazda MX-5 as the most reliable of the lot. The agile roadster from the Asian carmaker received a 94 percent approval rate from consumers.
Although Honda practically swept the survey, one disappointing result is that of the Honda Civic. The newest version of the Honda Civic only received an 82 percent approval rate from respondents owning the latest Civic. According to consumers, the newest Honda Civic has issues concerning its fuel system, steering and suspension as well.
According to Which?, the least reliable nameplate today is the Land Rover Discovery 3. The said nameplate only received 79 percent approval rate from respondents. The reliability or lack thereof of the Land Rover would surely hurt its stocks as Ford is now looking to auction off the British brand.
Aside from the Land Rover Discovery 3 and the Honda Civic, other nameplates which performed poorly in the reliability survey are the Volkswagen Passat, the Peugeot 307 and the Renault Megane. All of these received nod from only 82 percent of its respective owners.
According to Which?, these are the cars that they would recommend for their reliability: the Honda Jazz, Mazda 2, Toyota Yaris, BMW 1-Series, Mazda 3, Volkswagen Golf, BMW 3-Series, Honda Accord, Lexus IS, Toyota Prius, Audi A6, Jaguar XJ, Lexus GS, Nissan Note, Renault Modus, Ford S-Max, Honda FR-V, Toyota Verso, Mazda MX-5 and the Volkswagen Eos.

What if we took the money the Big 3 want and subsidized new USA factories built by Honda, Toyota, Nissan etc?
Wouldn't this create far more jobs than subsidizing the inefficient Big 3 and their overpaid CEOs and unions?
I don't know, but the Big 3 could stand to take a lesson or two from companies like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, etc...and how they do business.
I thought I read too somewhere that factory workers at the Honda, Toyota, etc...plants in the U.S. were happier overall with their job then their counterparts at GM, Ford, and Chrysler.

Aerovironment To Begin Making A Battery Charging Innovation
Aerovironment is a company that has specialized in the development and manufacture of unmanned aircraft systems as well as efficient energy storage systems. Because the battery is receiving a customizable charge each time, its useful life can be extended, saving the company money in replacement costs. Not having to stop work flow for battery charges increases productivity while the technology that is used increases worker safety and work site cleanliness. PosiCharge is a division of Aerovironment Inc.
The innovation is a good one on a number of levels. First, it addresses the need for increased safety when handling charging and batteries. Second, it addresses the need to keep productivity and work flow up for the average business. Third, it addresses the longevity of the average battery type, which is greatly decreased by the average charge cycle. Fourth, it addresses the need to customize the charge that is used for each battery based on its individual need. Finally, it addresses the needs to charge several batteries at different levels at the same time. Considering the expense of most battery types, anything that can extend its life even by ten charge-discharge cycles is a considerable improvement over the alternative need of having to continually buy new batteries at a continually growing expense. More importantly, the technology allows the battery to remain in place without it having to be handled and moved to be charged, increasing worker safety.

Fully charging a new digital camera battery before first use?
I recently got a new digital camera. The minute I got it I brought it home, put the battery and memory card in, and turned it on and played with the settings and took a few pictures. Only then did I notice the tiny writing on the box saying "Must fully charge battery before initial use." Im wondering if I could have caused damage to the camera or battery by turning it on and using it for a little while before fully charging the battery?
No harm done. It is actually better to have enjoyed your camera upon purchase and drain the battery completely before charging. If you have a decent charger, it would drain the battery first anyway before starting to charge it.
