LTE : Next Step in Wireless Communication
LTE (Long Term Evolution) is the next major step in mobile radio communications, and it will be introduced in 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 8.
Initiated in 2004, LTE’s targets were to have average user throughput of 3-4 times the Release 6 HSDPA levels in the Downlink (100Mbps), and 2-3 times the HSUPA levels in the Uplink (50Mbps). Also, the goals for LTE include, improving spectral efficiency, lowering costs, improving services, making use of new spectrum and reframed spectrum opportunities, and better integration with other standards.
E-UTRA/OFDMA, IP and IMS
LTE uses the Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) air interface, which is based on OFDMA and is more evolved than the TDMA used in GSM and the CDMA used in GSM/UMTS and CDMA2000.
In addition, rather than proprietary packet structures, LTE is based entirely on IP packets, and voice travels over IP (VoIP). The IP part of LTE is called "Evolved Packet System" (EPS), which was previously called "System Architecture Evolution" (SAE).
The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), which provides an integrated framework for all telecommunications based on IP, is also integrated into LTE.
Advantages
The main advantages with LTE are high throughput, low latency, plug and play, FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) and TDD (Time Division Duplex) in the same platform, improved end-user experience and simple architecture resulting in low Operating Expenditures (OPEX). LTE will also support seamless connection to existing networks, such as GSM, CDMA and WCDMA.
LTE will also appear in a number of different spectrum bands around the world including the 2.6 GHz band which is perfect as a capacity band since operators are able to secure up to 2×20 MHz of spectrum. LTE also will appear in the reframed GSM bands in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands, providing superior coverage and global roaming in the rest of 3GPP market.
Technology Demos
• In September 2006, Siemens Networks showed in collaboration with Nomor Research the first live emulation of a LTE network to the media and investors.
• In February 2007, Ericsson presented for the first time in the world LTE with bit rates up to 144 Mbit/s.
• In September 2007, NTT docomo demonstrated LTE data rates of 200 Mbit/s with power consumption below 100mW during the test.
• In December 2007, Nokia Siemens Network announces that in a trial of the Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless data network, they have achieved data speeds up to 173 megabits per second (Mbps).
• In April 2008 Ericsson presented its M700 mobile platform, the world’s first commercially available LTE-capable platform, with peak data rates of up to 100 Mbit/s in the downlink and up to 50 Mbit/s in the uplink. The platform can be used to produce data devices such as laptop modems, Expresscards and USB modems for notebooks, as well other small-form modems suitable for consumer electronic devices. Commercial release is set for 2009, with products based on the platform expected in 2010.
Carrier adoption
Various carriers supporting GSM or HSUPA networks like Rogers Wireless, AT&T, TeliaSonera, T-Mobile, Vodafone, France Telecom and Telecom Italia Mobile have also announced or talked publicly about their commitment to LTE and can be expected to upgrade their networks to LTE at some stage in near future.
Verizon Wireless is presently testing its LTE network and selects Ericsson and Alcatel-Lucent as Primary Network Vendors for LTE Network. Also, with part-owner Vodafone it plans to conduct field trials of LTE this year.
MetroPCS, Telus Mobility, China Telecom/Unicom and Japan's KDDI have announced they have chosen LTE as their 4G network technology.
Earlier this year, TeliaSonera signed contracts with Huawei, for world's first commercial LTE network construction. After the deal, Huawei will provide an end-to-end LTE solution including LTE base stations, core network and OSS (Operating Support System). It also provides services including network design, implementation, systems integration and support. TeliaSonera also joins hand with Ericsson for a commercial LTE network.

If a 30000 or 35000 RPM motor is Used in an Electric Chain hoist Instead of Low RPM motor for lifting 8 ton?

Infact by using chain hoist i want to turn heavy wheels of a machienry. If the machinery needs 3000 RPM turning, Then such an electric motor be used which has high RPM of 35000 or 30000. And the electric motor must be heavy duty for working almost 24/7. So what i need to do in this situation. I need some calculating software or excel sheet filled with formulas for my ease. thanx
well, one of 3 things would happen.
1. you'd spend lots of money getting the gearing ratio right, or
2. the gearing would be so high that the motor wouldn't have enough torque to move the hoist, or

ok im putting new tires and rims on my truck im gonna lift it and put some tires on that have 8 lug rims but as we know the f-150 has 6 lug bolts i need a adapter can some one find a link that maybe have had the same prob. and needed the same thing? THANKS
There are a thousand internet sites and "rim" shops out there will would love to sell you some adapters. Adapters aren't the issue. Your life and safety should be.
Some genius in a white coat was paid alot more than you and I together to design what works for your truck. By oversizing the tires you are changing the braking and handling characteristics of the vehicle as well as its true center of gravity.
I see folks every day buying new lug nuts and studs because thier "wheel adapters" failed.... and usually at the worst time.... oh say like when driving down the road.
Before you get the wheel adapters.... get a good life insurance policy.... please.

Using a plastic welder. I was able to save $23.44
On this repair the latch has a crack on it. Which will not make the box water proof.
WORK AREA:
- Work area must clean and well ventilated.
- Setup plastic welder
- Set welder to preheat usually takes about 15 minutes to heat up.
SET UP:
- Plastic parts should be clean. {soap and water}
- Need to find out what type of plastic that we are working with. Usually look at the back of the part. Sometimes there will be a symbol telling you what kind of plastic you're working with. Unfortunately in this case there is no symbol.
- When there is no symbol we have 2 choices. 1) Try to weld different types of welding rods to the plastic to see which one sticks the best. 2) When I don't know the type of plastic I'm working with. I like to use Fiber-Flex welding rod. {I have not had any problems with Fiber-Flex sticking to any plastic.
- Set up your plastic parts that need welded.
- Set your welder to the right heat setting for the plastic being welded.
- Set your welding rods out and in reach.
- Have a bowl of water with a rag or a spray bottle. { I like to use a spray bottle because using a rag will make your weld rough} This is just to cool the plastic if it gets too hot and starts to deform.
PLASTIC WELD THE PART
- At the crack make a V-groove a long the entire crack.
- Fill in the V-groove with your filler rod {welding rod}
- Cut out steel mesh to cover the crack. Melt the steel mesh into the plastic.
- You may have to use a small tool to hold the steel mesh down into the plastic. Until the plastic cools a little 2 or 4 seconds.
- Using Fiber-Flex welding rod cover the steel mesh. Smooth it out as much as possible. This will cut down on sanding time.
FINISHING THE PART
- Sand the part just like you would do with wood. I start with 60 grit sandpaper and finish with 180 grit sandpaper.
- Now you may have to paint your repair too
- You will need to get paint made for plastic. Most stores carry the paint.

Cradle Cap: How to Manage it Delicately!
One of the many neonatal diseases that occur a few days or months after the birth of the baby is cradle cap. It is a different type of disease as it does not cause any harm to the baby. It also does not irritate the baby. This, however, does not mean that the skin condition should be left alone without paying any attention. Rather, it should be taken care of well so that it remains well within control.
The main aim of the parents who have babies suffering from cradle cap should be to manage it well. Since it is a harmless disease and generally vanishes within a few months or years, no serious medical treatment is required for it. So, parents should take care of the fact that the disease is not taking any ugly turn. This can be done very easily without undertaking any rigorous treatment process.
There are so many ways of managing cradle cap. Oil can be a good choice. Any kind of oil, vegetable or chemical can be used profusely on the affected area and left overnight. It is not necessary that the oil should be used only at night. It can be used at any convenient time and left for some hours. When the scales become enough oily, something soft can be used to brush them away. But this must be done with utmost care without disturbing the affected area.
In order to keep cradle cap within control, shampoo is also made use of. A good proportion of shampoo and water is used to wash off the scales thereby to keep the area clean. Paste made of homely herbs is yet another treatment for the disease. However, cradle cap can be managed without taking any trouble by using the commercial lotions. A lot of companies are there that make lotions to be used for this purpose.

sure it is not valve cover gasket or camshaft seal he was talking about, the only other thing would be valve cover breather or pcv valve rubber seal.What type of car is it?
if it is over head cam could be camshaft end plug in which case u will need to remove valve cover so u will need a new gasket for that as well.

I found a guide online who gave me the exact methods to repair my Xbox 360 red ring of death with nothing but house hold tools like a screw driver, paperclip, pliers & a knife. It had clear step by step video tutorials on how to fix my console & abolish my Xbox 360 red ring of death problem.

I have my lip pierced, and I have a captive bead ring in (Got it done 2 months ago)
How do I remove it?
I read somewhere to use needle nose pliers
And I can't make a trip to my piercer
Any piercer will help.
Ring opening pliers are the best thing. If you can't do it by hand. And initial CBRs are normally pretty overtight.
But needle nose pliers covered in a softish sort of tape like PTFE will be okay.
Do it gently, and pull the ring apart, and the ball should fall out.
Not too much, or the ring will get misshapen.
